Rogue said there will be an update later this year, I'd hazard a guess that it will be sometime this summer. |

Any news on what new implemented? I mean if some new features(other than bugfixes or other "invisible" features) where developed on os4 these months? I imagine that on a new update after an year there will be many news features (or better, I hope so! )...maybe a BoingBag plus than an update... _________________ Simone"Tuxedo"Monsignori, Perugia, ITALY. |

Well, look at the classic update,..it has AmigaInput added back in, so presumably it's not as flaky any more...then, take a guess as to how many OS4 devs are full time, or regularly involved still (no idea, myself, I just suspect it's 'less than used to be'), and...there ya go.
No clue, really. bugfixes and maybe completed OpenGL? Better video drivers? No idea, really.

Nobody said "2 more weeks"... rather, two months.. maybe more. I didn't give a date, so please don't suggest I did. Thank you. _________________ Seriously, if you want to contact me do not bother sending me a PM here. Write me a mail |

| @Rogue I can wait two months or more, I'm and Amigan. I sure would like the new dialer early though. I believe that is what is holding me up from uploading large files to my server over dialup. Thanks, John Paul

Well... my question was about *what* will be introduced in the update/BoingBag... not when...we can expect months for it...as usual simply curious to know how to put in... and if its planned... no more of that... _________________ Simone"Tuxedo"Monsignori, Perugia, ITALY. |

I would be very happy to see a great A1-update for the OS4 Final soon, and with these improvements like most say here, and yes..i think it's time for a full, latest version OpenGL to be implemented somehow. Maybe some new functions..
And yes, AmigaInput needs to be put back into place again. It was lacking from the OS4 Final, but present in the Classic version, which i find quite rare...
Maybe even faster 68k JIT-emulation. Perhaps even a better audio interface than AHI, if that is possible? Like Xstream Audio or something. AHI is great, but there is something about it that still doesn't feel quite up-to-date. It's probably my imagination or something. DaveAE surely would know that better than most..
Maybe better GUI Intution and interesting themes with fully round corners? Smarter meny-systems and such. There might be many possibilities. Just do your best :)

Hans de Ruiter is working on MiniGL, do you need some new functions?

there was some talk about a bug,I'm shore it will be fixed, as for more speed I don't think so.

Hi! Quite informed as can, I could guess that the update including from the worked Classics OS4 things should come pretty fast for us , as fast as summer is coming over here;) Some new things? Control over Your pedals as told above (AmigaInput), I would hope to print with my spanking new HP2600n colourlaser but I think it's too easy for OS4;) Must use pc: damn me!
Anyway thanks to the bro's that I can access the sites to download updates again and I really wish&hope they get sales and the machines to sell with really soon or I'll go and spank some AmigalawyersAs#! Seriously: what a waste of a promising&fast OS again (and money).
Then we could all buy a new OS4xxx for our A1:s after a little update to get things working. About time?
Anything I say is really -???- Beer is talking;) Cheers. |

Unless I'm mistaken, the specs shout out that it has "Host-based" printer languages. I would stay away from these. Best bet for A1 (and amiga generally) and network printer is postscript capable one with socket or lpr queue. Xerox phaser 6180 works like charm here (networked). A1 + 2 linuces use it. No special drivers needed on A1. Just works. If I were you and there's was a chance I would have returned and instead got something that works for sure...
And it is not HP that is not bad thing imho.
