I can't connect to Internet with my ADSL router now unless I reset it and restarts all.

As I have installed OS4.1 yesterday and seems to work well with Internet I want to buy in a no so distant future one of those wireless routers...

Can I install and use it on my Amiga One?

Can I use a wireless routers under OS4.1?

And can I use an Internet wireless connection supplied by a provider on my Amiga One with new OS4.1?

I don't have an Internet connection now at least stable so I am seriously considering this option.I really need some new internet connection as I cannot connect to the WWW now.

I have too a sii0680 card with a basic configuration on U-Boot entered as it follows:

"setenv ide sii"
"saveenv"

And disabled both internal IDE controller on the prefs of U-Boot.

Do I have to activate UDMA or fix my DMA with the siil0680 to make my internet connection enabled again?

Thanks in advance and your posts will be REALLY appreciated.

Well, if the router is going to be near the AmigaOne you should still be able to plug a cable into it and the Amiga - that's pretty sure to work. Aside from that, AmigaKit sell a wireless PCI card for the AmigaOne, so I guess it's possible...

@Daedalus

Well,but I don't have the router near me so...

What kind of PCI card is this? Is it a router a modem or what it is?

Can I buy somewhere a wireless router that it doesn't need to connect to my home's telephone line and gives me INTERNET without cables?

I will try to find info myself about this topic but believe me that is important.

@newlight&all

Does the wireless router I am asking have a reset button?

The problem is that when I ask for a reset to my brother I normally lost the connection after some hours or when I switch off the machine later.

@newlight

I have a wireless connection between a wireless router two floors down and a Linksys WAP11 connected to my A1 via ethernet.

The advantage of that setup are:
- No driver is needed, unlike usb and PCI WiFi adapters
- The WAP11 can be configured via HTTP using IBrowse (no JAVA browser needed)
- It has two external antennas, so they can be aimed or extended as needed
- Used ones are really cheap

The disadvantages of the WAP11 are:
- It can't go faster than 802.11b (11Mbps) which is faster than most people's internet connections but is slow if you want to exchange large files with other machines on your LAN
- It doesn't support the latest encryption schemes like WAP2/PSK. Only WEP
- Using it in "ethernet to wireless bridge" mode only works if the router at the other end is made by Linksys too.
- There's no way to scan the airwaves for access points, you have to know the SSID and type it in
- It doesn't provide a signal strength indicator

If you have a free PCI slot the most convenient solution may be to get a PCI card with a Prism2 chipset (see list in http://www.aminet.net/hard/drivr/prism2.lha)

Otherwise, any gaming adapter can be used, and many wireless routers also offer the "ethernet to wireless" mode, but not all these devices have a configuration menu which can be accessed without JAVA or proprietary Windows application.

I expect no one's responded because, well, much of your post doesn't make sense.

If you want to use wireless, then you need to get a wireless PCI card, such as the one sold by AmigaKit, with a driver for OS4.X, and you'll need a wireless router, which connects to your existing DSL or cable modem.

Wireless routers (such as those by DLink, Linksys) nowadays usually have a built-in switch, allowing for some number (generally 4-8) of wired connections as well.

Routers also are generally configured (consumer level, anyways) via a web UI, which something like OWB or netSurf, or possibly even IBrowse, should be able to handle, assuming no Java or Javascript.

Routers don't 'need' a reset button - if there isn't one, then unplug it and plug it back in, it's reset.

Not sure what else you're asking here, really..?

Example of a semi-popular wireless router:

I am asking how to connect my Amiga One with a wireless router,PCI card or what
it could be.The sense is to make an Internet connection on my room.
What,where and how to do it.

What material I need?

Where to buy it?

And how to acomplish them all?

It's to avoid problems.

@newlight

1) install a router and plug it into your adsl connection
2) configure it according to the directions of your IP (it sometimes need a PC in order to achieve this...)
3) install the appropriate PCI card in your A1 : it makes a radio connection with your router. Follow the directions you find in the directions of the "Prism2" driver, concerning encryption etc...
4) go and enjoy your connection
