Hi,

I was wondering whether it would be possible to have a 'private' menu for the RAM disk, instead of the generic one which yields for all volumes.
Currently I have this menu specified:

Disk,Open,PM_INVOKEWB,ICONS.OPEN
Disk,Information...,PM_INVOKEWB,ICONS.INFORMATION
Disk,SEPARATOR
Disk,Snapshot,PM_INVOKEWB,ICONS.SNAPSHOT
Disk,Unsnapshot,PM_INVOKEWB,ICONS.UNSNAPSHOT
Disk,SEPARATOR
Disk,Copy,PM_INVOKEWB,ICONS.COPY
Disk,Rename,PM_INVOKEWB,ICONS.RENAME
Disk,SEPARATOR
Disk,Align windows,CLI,ExtSYS:Utilities/AlignWindows/AlignWindows %f

But for RAM I don't need, say, Rename or Align Windows.

Anyone knowing more about this issue?

OldFart

@OldFart

You can add menu items for specific disks.

Depending on your contextmenu version you will see either Disk-RAM or Disk-RAM: at the top of the disk menu ( It think the former is the public version).

So to add disk specific item you add a line like

Disk-RAM,Copy,PM_INVOKEWB,ICONS.COPY

or

Disk-RAM:,Copy,PM_INVOKEWB,ICONS.COPY

as corresponds to the above version distinction.

I'm not aware of any way to exclude menu items from the menu for specific disks.

That doesn't mean there isn't one, just that I don't know how to do it.

Disk specific items will be added to the end of the menu, after a seperator.

@broadblues

There would appear to be some specials you can for instance specify

Work,Copy,PM_INVOKEWB,ICONS.COPY

and get an item added to the Work menu, but

RAM Disk,Copy,PM_INVOKEWB,ICONS.COPY

does not work.

BTW there is some documentation in

sys:Documentation/Commodities/ContextMenus.doc
