After the onboard Radeon M9 of my SAM440ep i was forced to plug in a Radeon 9250 to its PCI-Slot.

But now MiniGL-Apps don't work, i get only blank screens/windows and the system becomes incedibly slow.

What do you have Uboot variable video_activate set to ?

video_activate=internal
or
video_activate=pci

I used U-Boot-Menu to set from Internal to PCI because my onboard Radeon M9 Videomemory is broken.

AFAIK no 3D acceleration atm for "secondary" cards.

Yepp - I can confirm that - at least for now - no 3D acceleration is possible on external cards on the SAM440ep.

I had the same problem and asked directly ACube Systems.
They told me it's not possible.

I don't know if this ever becomes possible.

Thanks for your clarification. It´s no big deal for me because i just using 2D Apps and did development only in 2D.

Except that I have seen reports from other people that they HAVE had 3D working. (And yes, I know this contradicts what ACube says.) Not sure what to believe...

I think that for me this is the first thread where R9250 is being used on SAM440ep-mini.

But before I go and buy second GFX card I need to see more results.
(I have a PCI bus Voodoo3 (3.3+5v) but not yet dared to try it. It would be fun to get dual monitors on SAM440ep-mini.. Later, even more fun is top have high res 32bit compositing WB on the 9250/RadeonHD and minigl stuff on the M9)

The new updates are always slightly improved the situation.

- A DELL 2407WFP 24" monitor (D-SUB)
- A Radeon 9200 SE 128 MB gfxcard on PCI slot (D-SUB)
- Original OS4.1 monitor drivers

Who is working in the 3D/MiniGL/SDL visualization of SAM440ep Mini on PCI?

The onboard video card I/O and memory should be disabled in uboot for version from 1.3.1c and later if you have a PCI card

On Sam440ep-mini: if a Radeon PCI card is present, and the onboard video card is not set as primary video card, the onboard video card I/O and MEM access are disabled in PCI_COMMAND register after initialization. This prevent some problems when booting AOS4.1 in a dual gfx card setup.

Ok, so I should not get another Radeon if I want to try to use two GFX cards at the same time....
so ... I should try my Voodoo3000 then (or get new PCIe capable motherboard) .... be back on that one day.

But not the onboard video card is the problem! I do not use it.
The onboard video card is set up properly, the RADEON (9200SE) card without!

I, the PCI card (9200SE) would have to be used.
2D and 3D modes.

It is because the card memory for more (64 vs 128Mb)!

However, the RADEON (9200SE) card are shown on the attached video, he does it.
Which is not good! :)

Didn't really understand your message but:

If the Warp3D cannot be used with the GFX card in PCI-slot, you must be running MiniGL applications through Wazp3D, which is rendered in software (=CPU), not on the graphics card. That would explain why it is so slow.

What I understand from what I have posted from the A-Cube website is that if set up properly the onboard video is effectively turned off and you should not have a problem with the PCI card.If you have both enabled at the same time you will have issues.

Currently, when starting the machine, the onboard video card BIOS looks.

The operating system starts the onboard card is black screen.
The operating system is the PCI (9200SE) card works.

So the onboard video card is inactive!!!

Nevertheless, the videos shown in broken SDL / MiniGL and 3D operation.

Some people it works flawlessly SAM440ep-Mini?

Or maybe I have a problem with my system?
