Yes, I have clicked the "Like" button to your AmigaOS Fan Page. I have clicked Like to several thousand Fan Pages, including at least one dozen Fan Pages relating to classic Commodore, classic Amiga, AmigaOS, MorphOS, AROS, Genesi, AmigaOne X1000, Guru Meditation, Hyperion, A-EON, Efika, NatAmi, AmigaWorld, aCube, etc. Last edited by In_Correct on 11-Dec-2012 at 01:07 AM.

Its what you make it for. For me facebook was something i had to get because of all party organisers and musicians went there so i can have contact with, today its family, friends, groups (amiga too) etc. And ofcourse as you say much to be seen/seeking attention which wasnt what i registered for in the beginning :)
EDIT: On G+ i see mostly tech news etc. But their page is very browser picky so dont work that good with OWB on os4 (cant upload pictures and have to use spoof and other crap). This problem isnt on later OWB versions on MOS. Last edited by Kicko on 11-Dec-2012 at 07:43 AM.

If it was up to me, I would try to find an artist to create a cover image that would show the link to the past revisions of the OS. Perhaps I would "liked" a similar concept. Otherwise, as it is now, it AOS4.x specific, not AmigaOS in general. Don't forget that a current selling point has to do with nostalgia i.e. Remember when computing was fun? _________________

| @djrikki Unfortunately, with mui-owb, I can't see anything at Facebook but my picture, my name, "Find friends," "Home," and a search bar at the top of the page, with "About Create an Ad Create a Page Developers Careers Privacy Cookies Terms Help" and "Facebook © 2013 · English (US)" right under. I'll try to remember to try it with Timberwolf, where Facebook comes up the way it should, later.

That comment was straight trolling. There's no need for that here, especially when someone is discussing something they're doing for free.

AFAICT facebook works well with muiowb, just a bit slow (but i have the smallest of the mini-itx SAMs so your mileage may vary on the speed side).

I'll make that another no as I've requested my facebook (or is that farcebook) account to be deleted.

I don't ever use the "like" button as its a pointless waste of a click
I also find the promotions of "like this..." to be self defeating in that it skews any accuracy based on peer pressure/pester power
