| Hi All!
I managed to do that at the same time operate two video cards in the machine (SAM440EP Mini-ITX). PCI ATI Radeon 9200: WB Desktop Onboard Radeon M9: 3D games
Those games where you can select the resolution and mode, there's much I can send them over the M9 card. Or that are already on the M9 start.
But there's TinyGL games (such as Quake, Quake II GL versions) where there is no screen mode, and card options to choose just resolution.
How can I redirect these screens?
NewMode, ModePrefs, Screens not work with these screens ...
Is there a solution? |

No! :) There is a picture on both monitors! But I want to show the game on M9 chip! No missing modes and resolutions problem! But SAM440EP Mini-ITX system, the PCI slot no 3D support! Therefore, I want to redirect the GL game screen for the M9 chip Do you understand? :) These programs/games do not use standard AOS screens. One screen promotion programs can not see them ...
A good working example:

You can try ask at AmigaOS support forum, maybe some of developers/betatesters can help you there. |

There are X1000 users who are in similar situation: eg. WB on RadeonHD (in PCIe) card and 3D games on Radeon 9250 (in PCI). However, I don´t know how much is X1000 comparable to SAM440ep in this regard. |

Warp3D cant select a particular driver So minigl cant select a particular screen
=> you can temporary remove one of the warp3d driver then minigl will only render in remaining screen/driver those drivers are in libs:warp3d

Quake 1 can choose a screen Mode IIRC but (maybe that's only the software version?) The software version is far superior to the GL version so don't bother with it.
For quake2 you might try creating a screen in the screens prefs and trying to get it to use that.
This may not work as these programs open on custom screens not public ones. Although there is no reason for that (eg blender uses public screens), it's just the way they are coded by default.
You will need to work out what the screen name is:
Okay I just tried I can't get it to show up in the screen prefs add screen requester.
Another less satisfactory solution would be to run it windowed mode on your WB

I found a solution! So!
Primary card: PCI RADEON9200 - all WB Desktop screen. Secondary Card: onboard Radeon M9 - 3D powered game screens.
W3D_R200.library deleted.
It did not work. The game screen will be displayed at the RADEON9200 card. I thought the "W3D_R200.library" need to RADEON9200 graphics card. Hm ...
I copied back the W3D_R200.library. and W3D_RADEON.library deleted.
Woahhhh Displayed in the game screen, the onboard M9. Error-free! Good color with good speed!
Interesting ...
For example, Frogato game immediately onboard M9 was launched. Once you have both W3D-files in place (Libs/Warp3D). In this case, however, the Quake games trying to get started on the RADEON9200.
Deleted W3D_RADEON.library, Quake game starts RADEON M9-card. |

The easiest way to pick off a screen name is to use ModePro with "ask about unknown screens" checkmarked under the "settings" menu. You can still attempt other methods of mode promotion (don't know why anyone would consider that though), but at least now you have the screen name.
If ModePro doesn't intercept the screen and put up the requestor to ask how you want to handle said screenname, then it could be another issue.
Example:sdl doesn't talk to P96 as was explained to me, so you have no way to promote screens in that case. (Information courtesy a long time beta tester)

Understood. Our little modepromotion group has worked on applications, but not games. The only information I had was when someone brought up the issue of modepromotion not dealing with sdl created screens. It was explained later that mode promotion is hooked into intuition, SDL not.
Beyond that issue, we got different results dependent on GPU, which might be your issue.
You might try: http://www.amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/search.php and enter the names of any games/applications. There have been threads devoted here to individual programs with tips.

SDL surely does not build a screen from scratch (and I know minigl does not) using gfx library call, s no modern app does that, and only old games that took over the system in the old days.
The issue must be to do with the screens being custom and not public. Or perhaps even that they are untiltled / unamed?

Possible. But unless it's a program I've attempted to promote myself, I hesitate to comment.
One thing we have noticed is that things will produce black screens at times in 8bit. When I recommend selecting 32bit (although obviously not required for an 8bit screen) the users gets a graphic display. Oddly, this was key is getting Modeler to go back and forth correctly from Lightwave without DSI.

| @number6 IMHO the problem is that you can allways promote to the M9 screen but if Warp3D still use the driver for the other screen/card then it will not be enough...
