PCSX² an emulator of Playstation 2, is now availible at version 0.9.4 as opensource, it is availible for Windows and Linux, maybe someone can try to adapt it to AmigaOS too, altrought as I understand it use X11 engine

That’s not a problem it does not use X11 under WindowsXP, so I expect it flexible to adapt to AmigaOS API, my biggest question is if Sam440ep and AmigaONE’s have CPU power need to emulate PS2 games.

@samo79

PCSX2 has always been open source. I had version 0.5 (or was it 0.6) somewhat ported (i.e. most endian issues taken care of), but without a recompiler (which is a lot of work) it is dead slow even on the fastest Amiga money can buy.

@AmiDog

What a shame a great programmer like you cannot have decent hardware ...or even support, ...or even tools, to develop so interesting projects like the ones you would have already done if there were at least a single decent hardware developer, or just 1 smart person among the ones responsibles of the platform, to take the decision of update our system with up-to-date features.
