There are C64 emulators in Java that are turned into Java-applet.

This is good news because I hate Adobe Flash Player. Everything on the site (including ads) will be programmed in something in other than Adobe Flash Player.

Do you have rights to games you're going to milk via ads?

How do I obtain rights?

You could get a domain and start an aliasing service, it would be far cheaper for you. Also, you can hack on in a day or two, with database backend.

@opi

It does, doesn't it? Java and Linux are TOOLS, not SOLUTIONS. I wish people would seeing software as solutions. What you DO with the tool is the solution, not the tool itself.

This weeks pet peeve:
Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean.

Talk to the owners? Publishers, or whoever got the rights after original companies went out of business.

There's a Dilbert strip where they rush to keep boss from reading trade-press to prevent him from pushing buzzwordy "solutions" on them. When I read that I got the "here's something I saw in glossy magazine, do it, code monkey".

When the revolution comes the useless managers will be the first against the wall!

And this is a very dumb question but what else would I have to do to be able to use Amiga name and to make it Amiga themed?

Make sure that accounts are easily crackable

To create an Amiga-themed account, you could:
1. Choose a username related to the classic computer or its iconic characters like 'Copper' (the default desktop background).
2. Customize your profile with images and themes reminiscent of Amiga’s graphics style – neon colors, pixel art icons, etc.
3. Use emoticons that reference famous games from the era such as "Fall Guys" or use symbols like '!', '@' to mimic game commands/actions (e.g., "@Copper").
