Thanks everyone!

Keep them coming, one week to go.

I'm working on the Amiga key caps for those of you who have expressed interest.

The keys will be white as in my A1200 keyboard (the only thing I've got left after selling everything!)

and beige for the function keys etc...actually a light beige as I can't find a dark/aged beige/brown...

I've spent months (on and off) trying to copy the letters and symbols as much as my eyes and caliper allowed me to...

These will replace the original black mechanical keyboard keys. Easy to pop off and on.

I'll post photos and video of the Evo as soon as I've finished the CAD and the factories have cut the parts.

Thanks!

@ The Daddy:

I think I'll upgrade my order to the Evo keyboard too. I take it this is a "proper" keyboard with "proper" keys? That way I'll be able to apply some stickers for the C64 "graphics".

@Darrin

The Evo is a modified version of the Plus, it's slightly longer than the Plus by 20mm to accommodate the mechanical keyboard and yes these are proper keyboards.

The mechanical keyboard I've chosen costs between £70-80 and it comes with black keys, these can be popped off and new ones (the ones I'm designing in white and light beige) added.

Each key has a switch underneath (Cherry MX Red, Brown, Black and the very famous clicky Blue).

The minute I get close enough to the amount required to pay for the modifications I'll take photos and a short video.

We just need to make sure that on the 31st Match we still have at least £10,000

I have now backed the project and have gone with the £235 option in black so you now have 55 backers and £10,342 .

I've just finished polishing all the key rings (key fobs), next a few photos of the mechanical keyboard.

@kyle

Still working on them, I'm redesigning the entire cap set so it reminds you of the Amiga keys; moved the arrows from the sides (number pad) to the top and I've just finished both the "A".

I might even drill a hole so that the LED under the Caps Lock key shines through...

Less than 5 days to go, pledge, pledge, pledge!

@TheDaddy

You mentioned in another thread that you had to make some cost cutting changes to the design of your retro case, to make manufacturing more feasible.

Would it be possible to add a new tier to your kickstarter, to get a Pro version of your case that is absent those cost cutting changes?

Also, your POWER USER and Evo descriptions indicate the case includes most internal components, except the motherboard. So, how about a GURU MEDITATION / Evo Pro version that dispenses with the cost cutting changes, and retains the mechanical keyboard of the Evo; but also includes a fully operational system, with multi-boot OS's pre-installed, to include AROS, Windows etc?

I know, I know.. I overestimate how much time you have Still, thought I'd suggest it nonetheless. Just in case it appeals to some out there that want a turn key solution, or aren't technically inclined.

@jingof

Hi Alice...erm...jingof...

I'll think about it...to be honest I'm so exhausted that it'll take a bit before I can look at CAD drawings again...

And I haven't even started assembling them yet...maybe one day.

Your GURU and Pro verions sound good but I'll leave it to others to look into.

I'm sure one of you guys can jump at the "business" opportunity.

Also, between me and you (and 5127 other members) I've started working on something else...

If anyone wants to offer fully assembled and pre-loaded systems, imicas, x86 AROS based, SAM OS4 systems etc..etc...inside the case for resell just contact me.

4 DAYS TO GO!

Where has the final days surge gone?!

Unfortunately I can't afford to buy a computer case complete with SATA drive etc just for a set of key caps
