This is at a better hotel then the last one? What is the closest major airport to the event?

Hotel is newer & much better, hot breakfast in the morning. Sacramemto International is the closest airport. Show room was double booked last year, only reason the show was moved.

That's around $500 for round trip, not too awful.

@thread

there are now event postings for amiwest 2013 on facebook and google plus these days. social media may not be everyone's cup of tea, but there are amigans out there that don't frequent the forums.

any suggestions on other places to spread the word about this year's amiwest to current, former, and potential amigans? the more, the merrier!

All of my links in post #1 seem to be dead. Is it just me?

Do you know if they are changing server or?

@number6

dunno what the story is. DNS lookup fails for *.amiwest.net, so i guess i should send brian an email. he may not know.

edit: just sent an email to brian's private email address. hopefully they'll be able to get the site back up in short order.

A big fat Facebook advertising campaign would be helpful.

quick update: brian was away when the domain expired. he's back now and is aware, so this should be resolved shortly.
