Hyperion forum requires registering a product. He clearly has no product to register.

Then answer depends on what hardware he is going to use. PowerUp Amigas dont have built-in USB ports and some machines have PS/2 ports, some others dont, and some models have issues with USB ports.

You can try Amigakit's BoingBall Keyboard and Mouse.

Or you could try almost any "PC" or "Mac" keyboards and mice.

If I was going to shoot you down, I would really shoot you down! I don't use flowery words like other people, so some people get confused.

I have several of those as well.

That's because "you people" think your original post was from someone drunk making a joke!

Nothing compares to you!

I still stand by what I originally post about Hyperion's forums being the first place people should look for OS4 support, followed by amigans.net. Why would amigakit tell you to come here instead of there?

In what way, shape or form do you think people have been, "ripping you apart"? People have been telling you over and over again that most any keyboard and mouse should work.
I just looked through the entire thread and didnt find a single response that was aggressive towards you.

Being told he's on the wrong site because he asked about OS4 isn't particularly welcoming.

Ofcourse he's not a troll, he's a new member to the site, whoes first post has been caught in the general cross fire of crap that often happens in this site!

All he did was ask about keyboards an got afew direct replies which were informatice, and awhole thread full of rubbish, if he gets the impression that the rubbish is aimed him, well as a new comer that's not suprising.

Actually it's both, people come here as Amiga fans and for support on OS4, MorphOS, AROS, Classic Amigas, you name it. Just because you view it differently, doesn't alter the fact - this site serves many purposes, support for all 'Amiga' platforms is just one.

Rude!

You can join www.amigans.net. it's a nice place where you can get help. And that site was made because there is so much fighting on this site.

If it's all the same to you and everyone ELSE trying to send people elsewhere -- just don't. It's rude to the people on this site: the Admins, members and staff.

As for the reasons 'why' Amigans.net was created, you don't remember history I suppose.
...and I'll just leave it at that.

I would and do come to aw.net over the official support or any other site. There is a good mix on here and in my OS4.x days always used this site with great satisfaction. I have gone back to just using classic 68k stuff now but regardless of my flavour, MOS, OS4, AROS etc. I would start in here to begin with. No reason not to if the people who frequent this site can help me and I can help them.

I think on Twitter the hashtag would be #justsaying.

Not intending to shoot you down, but what is "amiga system"?
The only ones that are being made today are AmigaOS compatible, or "Amiga Clones."

Quote:

There are no Apple CPU,.There never was. Commodore at one point, made their own CPUs, But Apple used these processors and then they switched to these processors , and while Apple was part of an alliance, I do not consider Apple making their own processors. As far as I am concerned, Apple does not make anything from scratch. And Apple no longer supports those processors. They only support Wintel and ARM.

or perhaps by "CPU" you mean "tower"? If so, wouldn't this be a Mac? (which is actually a PC? )

Or perhaps they are an older Apple "CPU" tower, which contain the PowerPC "CPU", ( which you can install MorphOS) ?

In a manner of speaking they were wrong! Amigakit should have provided you with the info you were seeking. After all they could have told you about their BoingBall keyboards and BoingBall mice. Why would AmigaKit send you to another website when they can provide the solution themselves?

Or ... perhaps you meant that AmigaKit meant that AmigaWorld is the place to go for good info altogether. That fact is true, but so far you have only asked about keyboards.

Your spelling of some words is very silly, but I am not worried about that. Not every AmigaWorld member spells correctly, ... there are a few members that misspell the same words every time.

Have a Good Day, and again, Welcome!

@thread, there are some good info here, but the negative by far out weighs the positive.
I am puzzled, why can't a new member or user be treated with proper respect?

And that is really the question, isn't it?

For my own part, I meant no disrespect in my response.

Someone asked me if we can plug a moose into an Amiga, and I gave a pointer to "Mooseport".. I thought it was kinda funny at the time, but given where this thread has ended up, maybe I'll just keep to myself in the future.

It seems Yssing is right now on a wave of "outrage"

http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=64501&page=3

that is really overdoing to me

it IS funny, do not worry about it. If you cannot laugh with others when you do something wrong then you are really poor

I wouldnt worry about it. It was/is funny and I got a bit of a laugh from it. Neither of us was disrespectful or rude (I include myself here because it was me that you responded to).
I even waited out of courtesy for the question to be answered before I said anything. You also went on to give a thought out informative response after sharing a joke.

Just because some choose to take things too seriously doesnt mean a person has to reduce themselves to the same level.
