@tomazkid

Of course it is, I told ya!

Well I just have to agree with Mr. Matt Bucknall in the comments section of your link:

The AmigaAnywhere idea is as bad as it ever was. A second version doesn't make the fundamental business flaws go away.

So the difference between Java and AA2 is that AA2 supends the host operating system while running? How does that classify it as an operating system? I guess I'm just unwilling to accept new definitions for what an operating system is.

My God... what an enormous waste of money/resources is that.

I mean, are we REALLY sure that investing the same $$$ in the "Classic" market wouldn't have meant more sales (and so, more money back) for AInc. than a virtual machine no-single-person in the world cares for?!?!?!?

God, those things make me feel extremely sad.

But taking Amiga President Bill McEwen aside for a moment, we discovered that AmigaAnywhere 2 is AmigaOS 5.

?We had to call it that because of the Microsoft deal,? McEwen whispered

So is that the deal with OS4? For AA2 to live in a Microsoft world, OS4 must die? If MS finds out there's a stand alone OS, all deals are off? Just one more theory I suppose.

@tomazkid

It's incredible how an investor can put his money in a project like this. Why squandering they purses in this, without any research or market study? I wonder if they read this comment on the net.

Come on!

I think now it's time for both parties in trial to come along and bury the axe of war.

Unfortunately I was right. I knew this was their plan...

The lawsuit is just their attempt to kill off OS4 and take the name back. Can't confuse our customers now can we?

Why can't they just give Hyperion the OS and let them rename it Hyperion OS4 or call it Amiga OS Classic PPC. Do they really have to kill it?

Certainly explains everything then. Do you people now understand why Amiga INC do not want OS4 to reach the public?? It surely would be confusing to have two entirely different products named AmigaOS and thus they want to kill of the classic OS.

I wish Amiga INC could burn in he*l..... i hate that company so much right now.
Edit: I dont mean it literally though and wish no physical harm to the people who work there. I am just feed up and wish that the company itself would cease to exist so that we can move on.

Lets hope this OS5 is the final nail in the coffin for them.

@Tomas

Don´t panic!!

1) AmigaOS 4 is in hands of its developers (until judge decides otherwise)
2) OS4 and AA have two different markets, OS4 users aren´t potential customers of AA et vice versa
3) Amiga Inc needs amiga community, who will develop software for their AA?
4) OS5 based on AA? Why not, but I don´t think that AA2 will become real OS in distant future.
