| I downloaded the AmigaGuide viewer http://www.stone-oakvalley-studios.com/index_software.php
that looks like a nice piece of software
on windows 7 laptop, but have problems installing it. I was thinking it was WinRAR complaining i did not have a licence, so i bougth one. I still cannot install correctly, as WinRAR gives me the same warnings that it cannot open the downloaded files.
Has anybody gone throught this succesfully ?

Why not use Multiview in WinUAE? |

Use 7zip to open it if WinRAR won't. Also, try the 'portable' version on that page if the installer won't work.

| It could be a compatability quirk. It looks like nothing much has been done with it for a very long time. try right clicking and going to properties and then setting compatability to something like Windows XP and give it Admin rights.
This won't work on everything, in fact I have only ever compatability working a handfull of times, but it might get it to play ball. _________________ My personal blog - CritAnime.com

| I was not in reach a few days @pavlor
I am trying to convince my grandsons to give Amigaguide a try. I think convincing them to use WinUAE is too big a step (and it is not free, since you need the OS3.1 ROMS) @AmiDark Did you succeed in installing under Windows 7 ? If yes , can you spell out how you did it? @DruggedBunny thanks for the hint @CritAnime

Have been using v1.1 several months w/o problems; now tried the portable 1.2 and it works fine, too. No probs when opening the pack with WinRAR. Last edited by zipper on 18-Feb-2013 at 02:51 PM. Last edited by zipper on 18-Feb-2013 at 02:50 PM.
