Amigaworld dominated and ruined by 4 or 5 of them.

The nastiness and vindictiveness has made Amigaworld an unpleasant place to visit.
I am changing my password to a random string and will not be visiting here again.

I hope that the forum gets back on track. Until then, adios.

@ddni

Well, everyone can choose to go where they feel most welcome, where the subjects are most interesting. Here, as in life, I just tend to ignore the 'blow-hards' of which there are many.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion. It's up to me, however, as to whether or not I 'choose' to listen to that particular opinion. I don't have to, and neither do you... it's not like it's personal, right?

Simply put : I refuse to allow anyone to alter MY enjoyment of something just because they happen to be a poopy-pants and want to spoil something or other for everyone else. It's nothing but 'white noise', so, treat it as such.

Well said.

Tho the noise can carry on for pages and pages, which "forces" you to waste time while looking for the reasonable posts. Plus it sometimes creates a sour "mood".

Vote me for moderator and I assure you, AW will be once again calm place... no trolls, no pointless discussions... no users... nobody. In the end, I will be so harsh I will even ban myself.

This brillant idea may be cleverly improved by changing the order and doing it for the start .

Although I basically like your idea, that would be no solution for OPs problem. Maybe I could write list of all AW users and ban them (including myself) in one great step? I hope it is possible, otherwise it would ruin my clever plan.

The most diplomatic way would be to give everyone moderators rights for 10 minutes a certain time of the day, then everyone can ban everyone and those who are left will live happily ever after.

As long as it is not insulting you must tolerate different views. Or you go to a place where everyone thinks the same way and all clap each other on the shoulder and all confirm each other that they are right and all others wrong. Sounds boring to me . And that in the 8-bit world (and f.e. on the atari sites) is less discussion is because there were not much development in the past, so not a split like in the amiga-community. That is good but also bad because it means less competition and less development. That are pure retro communities with no hope or expection ever to become competitive again. So be careful what you ask for . When you never wanted a split then the amiga-community should have stayed on 68k (how it is the case on the atari-platform), in the moment PPC was introduced there was a split already between 68k and PPC (even without MorphOS or AROS).

Well this is one of the few places I have seen that hardly invokes Godwin's law.

as I said by using a X1000 you already split the community by yourself because 68k is the origin.

split is an illusion.

The most important thing is to keep inside us the love of Amiga.
May it be to relive the old glorious days or to create a new fresh blank future, it's the same.
We love the Amiga spirit! We are Amiga!

It's up to all of us to make AmigaWorld retrieve this flame!.

Instead of fighting against differencies and choices that only represent the way we live our passion, we may accept the differencies and learn from the vision of this passions of the others Amiga people.

Love is particular, love is intangible, love is unconditional!
If we understand this, we can love everyone whatever they love that we don't because we learn to love everything.

I hope that everyone here and everywhere in the world will discover one day, that differencies are illusions ... The Abysses are illusions.
We're all the same blood.

Love.

That got me curious, so I did a quick search.
There are a lot of hits here for 3 keywords I tried, but the majority are in threads that reside mostly off the front page.
You could argue those words are used mostly in topics not Amigoid related, but they do show up quite a bit.
