| @HyperionHP, Rogue, EntilZha... or someone at Hyperion/Eyetech that can become a "mediator/messanger"...
Can you try to know something from Kmos regarding the 100$ Party Pack and 50$ Amiga Club Coupon ? (I, as poor mortal, am not succeed to get an answer to some mail that I sended to kmos address... )
As soon as I can, I (and many others "couponers", I suppose...) want to buy a new Amiga (One or Micro) to use and enjoy AmigaOS4 but...
Some (?) time ago, I buyed the Party Pack to support the "Amiga dream" and, to this day, still don't succedd to know anything regarding the promised refund (I would (ehm...must) wait info on this first to buy an AmigaOne... my finance aren't "so exciting" and, mainly, are "wife-controlled"... ). I can't (and wouldn't want) add also the cost of os4 to the already costly (Micro)AmigaOne(s)...
Can someone help me (us) ... ?
Thanks. Last edited by Zorro on 09-Oct-2004 at 06:28 PM.

KMOS still have to solve the t-shirt incident. And about that they said they would. At AmiWest 2004 they were already being printed. I know it's a drag bringing up the t-shirt thing and I don't even care about the t-shirts but it's the promise they would fix it. They did not. And that is not good. So don't bother about the coupons/party packs etc. since don't think they will take care of it. And Eyetech and Hyperion never supported the whole party pack/coupon thing.
I wonder what KMOS have to say about why they did not do what they said they would. I do not have much faith in KMOS. They showed no effort to do what they said they would. Sure soon they will come up with some excuse why and how it did not happen. Frankly it bothers me everytime KMOS is saying something about what their plans are. I mean they talk and they don't do anything.

| Yeah it looks like they follow the same path of the previous amiga companies...
I really hope i am wrong, but it really should not take this long to print some t-shirts and then send them out.
I also seem to recall that they promised to update the amiga site during september, which has not happened either..
I guess i am a bit pessimistic this days.. |

We all are. Even if they manage to get the t-shirts out it still is WAY to late. If they tell us they had more important things to do then don't make a statement you have the t-shirts in print. Even so in September there would be some new products. Well I do have a new Pringles product here but I don't think this is from KMOS. You see if we see new statements coming from KMOS about the future plans who is going to take them serious? They had the chance to make a good start but they blew it. But it's 3 strikes and your out. But I think after 1 strike we had seen enough.

A small note I'd like to make on behalf of the Party Pack purchasers is that the Party Pack was sold a significant amount of time before the Club Amiga memberships and the Party Pack cost double the amount. It seems like sometimes the Party Pack is overlooked simply because so many more people joined the "Club" than bought the "Pack" but those who bought the "Pack" have been waiting far longer for what was promised. |

I already had the DE SDK (Windows version) but I bought another one wich had the party pack coupon. So I have 2 which did cost me something. But anything to support them back then. But I am never going to pay another dime for a DE SDK. If there will be a new SDK for DE it has to be for free because yours truly is not going to pay a single dime for it.
I don't believe I will ever see something in return. And I don't want Eyetech or Hyperion to give me some discount or something because I have the party pack coupon. They never agreed on it so they don't have to do anything.

| It has notthing to do with Eyetech or Hyperion so I doubt they will answer any questions here.
About KMOS.. I got a feeling that we won't see much from them and to be honest that suits me fine, as long as they let Eyetech and Hyperion do what they are good at. That is bringing back the Amiga.
I doubt these T-shirts where ever printed, but would like to see KMOS explain why months have passed since they should have been printed. Not a club member myself but I feel a little embarrased by the way some of the people at Amiga Inc have been twisting the truth so many times.

I sympathise with you on the Party Packs. Thankfully I only bought one, but I did it for the same reasons that you did. Sometimes it just irks me when so many times the Party Pack and Club members get grouped together. I understand why people do it of course, but I think sometimes people forget how long the Party Pack was sold prior to the Club.
As far as KMOS, I really don't know what to think at this point. Anybody who's been anywhere near the Amiga scene in the past year knows what a flash point the t-shirts have become and I'm at a loss as to why someone would promise to deliver them and not do so in a timely fashion.
I want to end on a positive note and say that I was very glad to hear of the U-Boot update and hope for the update for the Pre-Release to follow soon after. Hopefully the t-shirts will show up with a coupon enclosed in them this week. I'd be happy to look like an idiot for that.

Me too (People should have their t-shirts and it would boost the sales of the MicroA1 and OS4 a little)

They rarely even talk don't they? Especially during the month of September.
These t-shirts. For #### sake, how much does it cost to buy and print some? They "apparently" bought out Amiga Inc which means they are bound by their previous deals. It narks me off that they don't seem to uphold there part of the bargain. They are an IT company with no web presence what's so ever. So far they look like a two-bit company to me.

Actually, it doesn't. They could have just said "We bought the company and are in the middle of a lot of important stuff. We have neither the time, resources nor the inclination to be a tee-shirt company. We are not legally bound to the coupon thing, either, so let's stop hearing about it. Here's what we plan to do with the OS and hardware issues:" But they didn't. I need another tee-shirt like I need a seeing-eye dog, but if you're going to screw me out of something, DON'T KEEP PROMISING ME THAT "IT'S AT THE PRINTERS!!" DOes anybody here get the impression that htey're just stalling until the statuate of limitations is out for fraud?? I mean, not to start a flame or a troll, but we spent money for a package which didn't exist! (Yes, I got the computer, but not the rebate or the shirt......) You all with the $100.00 should really look into your legal rights._________________ Have you hugged a Hyperion programmer today? |

| @Sbaitso AFAIR they sold ~3000 Party-Packs, compared to 1000something I_am_Yoda-coupons.
You can even buy a brand-new PP today. Just go to Vesalia and you will even get a "valid" coupon with it.
But hey, it seem the have ven risen the price of it (AFAIR they had it for 15Euro at the Aachen show in 2002) _________________ - We don't need good ideas, we haven't run out on bad ones yet - blame Canada |

It's a donation at this point. Think of it as a tax write-off. Besides, should inquires about this be directed to Amiga, Inc a wholey own corporation of KMOS, Inc. _________________

I think they were at that time (when I bought it) around 200/300 Dutch guilders. I am sure I got the reciept somewhere. But I think at least I spend 250 Euro together on both.
If KMOS just said no t-shirts then that's it. But please don't go around and saying you will take care of it. On AmiWest they just had a pep-talk and that's it. Some people might think, oh another thread of this but the fact is that some people are really pissed of. I am. KMOS should wire that 100$ from the party pack coupon to Hyperion and Eyetech and I call it even.
Just leave them at their game at let Eyetech and Hyperion alone doing their stuff. I mean that is what we want and care about most.

| Hi Zorro, and others,
In this news item (Aladdin 4D Source Code and Rights for Sale) I wrote:

This is a GOLDEN!!!!!!!!!!! opportunity to move forward!!
A piece of fine rendering SW going for a SONG!
Why let it go to imuc or msdross?
The amortization of this SW is 35,000 over 1,100 AmigaOnes! = US $31.82 !!!!!!
Amortize over desired micro A1 production, and it's ALMOST free!!!!!!
Garry, you say you have financing, this is CHEAP!
DON'T LET IT GO OPEN SOURCE!

Hi all,
Okay, think about it.
I paid for a one year membership twice to the Amiga club, and didn't care if I got a T-Shirt or not.
Now, I found out, for $28.63 Canadian (US $21.64), I can get a T-Shirt printed on front AND back, with ANY Amiga inspired picture I want!!!!!
AmigaOne! Pre-AOS4.0! Another bar of gold down the toilet????? |
Personally, I would have preferred that KMOS buy Aladdin 4D, than get the T-shirt and $50 rebate, and stick it on the AOS4.0 CD.
I don't know how others feel about it, but to me, it makes sense. |

That would be 3 years where KMOS is incorporated. You think they can stall that long? Really?

Fleecy Moss (very little time first of the "KMOS thing") told me many times to rest assured that they want to take care of it in a way or another... but I am beginning to lost the faith. Garry Hare said something similar in the famous interview but in the Amiga world of these years we have seen things unbelievable to humans eyes so many times...

I, obviously, know this... sure enough I was asking if someone (Hyperion, Eyetech, anyone) can become mediator (not the amiga Zorro/PCI thing... ), a messenger to contact KMOS/Amiga Inc... I think they sure can contact in a semi-official way the amiga owner of the moment to ask an official/final answer...

Yes, this is clear... but all that I was asking for, is the chance to help some (?) possible customers...
I think that, finally, in the Amiga world is time to have some respect and clarity for the community, the only responsible for the longevity of the Amiga platform..._________________ ------------------------------- AmigaOS, the last hope... |
