Hi guys im thinking of selling my A1200 d-box tower system.

it has a blizzard 1260 50mhz and the scsi kit. with full ram. its about 250 mb fast ram.

it has also the mediator board in it with voodo gfx soundcard and networking.
idefix-express inside with a dvd rom a plextor cd-rw and a ide zip drive 100mb.

its running the latetst amikit on amiga itself. so you can choose wich operation system you want to use.
workbench, scalos, dopus magellan II.

it also have a fully emulated macos os 8 running wich you can choose to boot while holding the f9 key (f10 is cd32) all is working like new.

it comes with a ps2 keyboard and mouse with mouse adapter.

audio is mixed so the amigasounds and cd sound is mixed output. when needed.

the hd is a 40gb with seperated partitions for games whdload games ,wb, other stuff and a mac games partition. so playing games is faster on macside..

so what can i get for this machine???

im selling because im not using it that often anymore i still have a a4000 rev d and a amigaone 500 so thats the main reason.

regards

@klapdeur

Go to ebay and see what similar things have sold for. You can usually get some idea of what people will pay for them. Don't expect anywhere near retail price.

Wow!

Maybe I should think about selling my A1200 w/Blizzard1260/50MHz & 256mb Fast RAM & SCSI kit, if it is worth more than £300?

I can't remember exactly what I paid for it about 6 years ago in an original A1200 desktop case, but I am sure that it was considerably less than £300, including the converted 200watt PSU and an internal 1.2GB 2.5" hard drive.

To the original poster, the value of your system is exactly equal to what ever you can convince someone to pay for it. That amount will vary widely, depending on where you live, so I suggest that you consider splitting the system apart and parting it out on eBay, or AmiBay, if you want to get the most money for it.

The prices you can get on eBay are crazy sometimes, and other times you might end up getting only a low price from eBay buyers. Luck has a lot to do with what you can get at eBay.

And then I still have my ElBoxed A1200 with Blizzard 1240 @50MHz and SCSI-IV kit and ZIV board and CV64 3d board and FastATA ZIV board and ISDN boad and HyperCom 4S+2P board and X-Surf Ethernet board and 2 Plextor CD-ROM's and an Iomega ZIP100. Still wondering what that one would fetch me.

Keep us informed please about your proceedings.

@amigadave

From what I can see, around 6-7 years ago was a sweet spot for classic Amiga stuff. Plenty of it around and reasonable prices which tended to be pretty consistent. Since then they seem to rise and fall massively. Blizzard 1230 boards for example were far cheaper 7 years ago than they are now. I bought a couple back then but would be hard pushed to find one in the same price range nowadays...
