Any news from Individual computers about thew Indivison AGA-MK2 firmware update, flash tool?

They mentioned the non beta core shoul be ready by June/July. It's August now and still not a whisper on their website. HDMI compatability and Scanline emulation (amoung other things) has still not been implimented.

Just curious. I have a DVI/Analogue Audio to HDMI converter that I am itching use. It currently doesnt work with the AGA-MK2, neither does my TV's HDMI input.

@Drewlio77

I was asking myself the same questions. Scanline emulation would be nice. I also wonder if there are any special monitor drivers/modes for the mk2 yet? I remember there exists some 720p modes for the mk1.

Regarding the dvi/hdmi, I'm currently running my A1200 with Indivision Mk2 using a dvi->hdmi adapter on an lcd tv, so at least this should work.

@rayt

My Samsung doesn't like the signal... says it's not supported. That is one of the things that was supposed to be addressed, a more standard output frequency.

@Drewlio77

did you have the oppurtunity to test the Indivision output on another display? Because I had similar problems on my Philips lcd tv and in the end it was just that the indivison was not sitting tight enough on the chip. I was surprised how hard I had to press it on the board.

The DVI-out works fine but when usuing the HDMI adapter it wont display at all on my computer LCD monitor using the HDMI in or my Samsung TV. Both say unsupported mode.

@Drewlio77

HDMI input usually requries a very exakt input signal compared to DVI and VGA. Forget HDMI until you've got DVI to work.

@duga

DVI is already working perfect, it is only HDMI support that he is waiting for.

@Crawff

Yep :)

One of the reasons I bought the AGA-MK2 was to hook it up to my DVI/Audio to HDMI converter. It would be nice to use one cbale to plug my Gaming A1200 into my home theatre system. An Amiga classic running on HDMI? It would be awesome...

Hopefully I am not asking for too much.

Another 3/4 year later:

any news from the Indivision-AGA-MK2-front?
Todays Keyrah V2 release reminded me that there's some only have working piece of Indivision-hardware inside my 1200, waiting for the promised really functional cores since ages...

If I remember correctly the core-update was said to be available "soon". That "soon" is now almost a year, I think. I'm a really patient guy but somehow my definition of "soon" is a bit different.

IMHO, instead of producing new stuff it would be better to first fulfill the promises made before. Bought lots of Individual stuff before, but I will think more than twice before doing so again

@Menthos

Thanks, I found it yesterday. I'll be giving it a try later this week. Some issues still need to be resolved (like V-Sync) but we shall see how it performs.

@Menthos

HDMI support works! I am very happy. I bought a DVI/Audio to HDMI adapter just for the purpose of using one cable for my A1200 gaming system. Now, finally I can use it.

I tried GODS on my Samsung 46" LEd LCD TV and it looks and sounds great in HDMI goodness. About 11 months late, but better late than never :)

Sounds amazing, tempting me to get back into Classic Amiga computing and re-building a system from scratch... I think if this year goes well, I may splurge early next year and re-purchase an Amiga Classic with all the bells and whistles. My only issue would be to find a 060 accelerator card.

Q!

I am sorry, but it is incredible to see this happening on a 20 year plus machine.

She just looks so beautiful sitting there. Really incredible. It seems the people who have expanded their Classics can still enjoy a very nice system considering.

Yes, works great after all. Now I was able to get to work all the screenmodes I need, without distortions and without wrong positioning. Even the scanlines don't look too shabby, great
