Only 20 odd minutes left if your looking to get hold of a reasonably priced Mediator set up for your A1200 on eBay...

Mediator 1200TX Plus Extras... (eBay)

Note: Not my sale,just noticed it and thought it may be useful to someone looking for a Mediator set up...

@Franko

It just ended...sold for 191 UK pounds! A few bids in the last seconds brought it from 166 to 191 :)

The price is nearly the price we sell them brand new.

@ All
I was tempted to bid myself but thought better off of it, as I can't be bothered building a new tower case again and it would most likely have gone in the "storage box" as spare parts...

Wonder if the buyer is going to be running OS4.1 Classic on it !!!

@ AmigaKit
Hard to tell as I can't find the Mediator for the A1200 on your website...

Bloody Scotsmen, blind as bats

go to their main page:
http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/?currency=GBP¤cy=GBP

Second row down, third across from left "Mediator PCI bus busboards" (the clue is in the name):

@Darrin

Ahh... got it now (forgot to put me eyes in last time)...

Anywhoo...

Mediator 1200TX £204.95 + Shipping £0.48 ??? (that's what it says and I've got me eyesies in this time)
Network Card £ 9.95 + Shipping £1.44
Radeon 9250 £ 37.99 + Shipping £1.86

AmigaKit Total = £ 256.67

Ebay Same items.... £191.00 + £21.00 P&P

Ebay Total = £ 212.00

Difference in price = eBAY £44.67 extra

Amigakit wins hands down cos at least your buying brand new items including a guarantee... well worth the difference...

Last time I checked the prices of a Mediator set up for the A1200 on the Vesalia site though a couple of years ago I'm pretty sure it cost a lot more than that, hence why I thought the eBay price was quite reasonable...

Can I take me eyesies out now so I can read the rest of the posts and just make up things in my head that I'm imagining I'm reading now... (much better that way as it give me something to grumble about)

PS: Gawd... I hate being nice...

PPS:: I'm not Scottish today, today I've decided to be Welsh and am just going to dig out me wellies and do some sheep worrying...

Erm... we already know that...

That why it says in the post just above yours "EBay Same Items" and gives the prices for all of those items as available from Amigakit...

Hmmm... I think you must've forgot to put your eyesies in just like I forgot earlier...

Must be Wednesday, I never could get the hang of Wednesdays... :-/

PS: Think we should all have gone to SpecSavers instead...

I hope you were cheering the Boys in Red yesterday afternoon.

30 points to 3. Awwww.

And a big "well done" to Italy this year for their best performance yet in The 6 Nations.

@Darrin

Never got the chance to watch it (the dog was using me eyesies to try and find a bone he'd buried) but was very pleased when I heard the result...

The old eye ties aint been too hot this season for some reason, heck even we gubbed them back in February and were playing mince this year...

Still, I suppose the only thing that really matters is that England get beat, aint nothing more important in life than that (not even a bargain priced bit of Amiga gear on eBay)...

Wish I have never sold my elbox tower.... The original plan was a 1200T with mediator. Now both my bppcs are stored on desktop cases with bvision gfx cards.

@Morphix

I will never depart with my A1200T.

Here are a few reasons why:

Elbox mid size tower
Amiga Technologies rev 2B motherboard
3.1 Roms
Blizzrard PPC 603e+ (68060@66mhz / 603e@240mhz)
256 MB of RAM
Fast ATA MK IV controller
2 x 80 GB IDE Hard drives
8x Pioneer DVD writer
Mediator LT4
SoundBlaster 16 sound card
10/100 Mbit Realtek Ethernet card
Spider USB 5 port USB 2.0 card
3DFX Voodoo 3 3000 16 Meg Video card (Workbench Screen resolution at 1920x1080@16bit)
PS/2 keyboard adapter
OS 3.9 BB2

As far as Classics go, she is pretty pimped out :)

@Drewlio77

One of the main reasons why I don't fancy buying the Mediator is that it would mean building a new tower case for it, never left any space in my custom built one for anything else as I wanted it to be as small as possible...

Always found it strange how all pre-made tower cases are ruddy huge (a family of gypsies could live right at home in some of em)...

One things for sure I aint going through the rigamaroll of building a new one again... (too lazy these days)...

Me trusty old homemade MDF A1200 tower...

Blizzard060/PPC 60Mhz/ 240MHz, 256MB RAM / 2 x 500GB IDE HDs / 2x DVD ReWriters / FastATA MKIII / Subway USB Board / Cocolino Wireless Mouse Adapter / Custom Built Audio Amp/ Mixer/ Fader

(Dual booting OS3.5 & OS 4.0)
