| I removed those two strange capacitors on the back on my flipper in order to get my A1200 to boot with the blizzard scsi. But I found out that the blizzard scsi is a lot slower than the fast ata, plus I was getting some strange clipping and crashes.
But can anyone tell my what the value of those caps?
My girlfriend cleaned the office, so I lost them :(
I was working great before I removed the caps, so I really need them back. _________________

Will Jens be able to help you since he was involved in the Flipper version. Either mail him directly or ask on EAB since he seems to be there quite a lot. |

If the blizzardscsi is slower than your fastata you must be using a really old scsi harddrive. Make sure you have a decent harddrive and that it runs in synchronous mode. It should outperform your fastata then and and not use any cpu while working.

And to be more precise, you should change that synchronous mode setting yourself with SCSIconfig for HDs and UnitControl (not sure was this capable) or MyUnitControl program for optical media.
Really, BlizzardSCSI should be much better than any IDE option.
And if you get some weird behaviour with some combination, maybe you have older rom for BlizzardSCSI... find the latest A1234.ROM file and soft update it. There's at least v8.5 available.. Last edited by jPV on 24-Apr-2013 at 04:51 AM.

| I Use an UW scsi harddrive, which I can imagine should be faster than the IDE/133 on the FastATA, but Sysinfo still reports that the IDE on the FastATA is about 250% faster than the SCSI.
I might have to try and fiddle with some settings though, maybe that will help.
Regarding the Delfina, I did look for contact on icomp.de, but I couldnt find any direct mail there, only mails for support were vesalia and other resellers. _________________
