| Hello I recently purchased a New flashcard 4gb, to use with my sandisk compact flashcard adapter. I bought a Sandisk extreme version IV. It doesn't read on my Amiga 1200 although it reads om my PC.
I was wondering do I need a different driver? The 8mb flashcard works just fine.
I must be doing something wrong!
Thanx in advance

Make sure it is formatted in FAT32 format. As far as I know, there is no NTFS driver with those adaptors. _________________ Amiga A1200, 3.1 ROMs, Blizzard 1230 MKIV 64MB & FPU, 4GB DoM SSD, Workbench 3.1 |

Is the 8MB flash card formatted with an Amiga file system? You need to have Fat95 and cfd.device installed to read compact flash via an adaptor... Also, the adaptor might not support 4GB cards, I know mine only goes up to 2GB.
CF cards are normally supplied already formatted to FAT32... _________________ RobTheNerd.com | InstallerGen | SMBMounter | Atoms-X |

Yes, amiga pcmcia drivers are VERY sensitive as to what card is used. I have an 8gb official SanDisk Extreme III works perfecty.. The other 2 cards i have here dont. I read threads online to determine which one to get. |

| It would be nice if OS4.2 if and when released can support the PCMCIA just before installation, this way any back-up can just be jrop onto a clean hard drive. Any other back-up can just be move across. I am currently testing 128GB CF card, only problem detected so far does not work correctly via FastATA OS3.9,but I do need to update my files. On OS3.9. works correctly via PCMCIA slot.
OS4.1 no problems detected so far via FastATA or PCMCIA slot. _________________ The Machine: Bride Of The Pin•Bot by Williams Electronics |

| The following cards work correctly in FastATA or PCMCIA slot.
Kingston 4GB standard card*
SanDisk Extreme IV 16GB UDMA 45MB/s
SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB UDMA 7 100MB/s*
*NOTE: still under testing and is detected in either FastATA or PCMCIA slot. Last edited by delshay on 20-Nov-2013 at 06:43 AM.

| Just to make you aware A1200 PCMCIA slot also works with SD & microSD cards but not all adapters are compatible. The adapter I have here also support other types of cards (not tested)
If I am not near a computer I simply do my downloads onto a microSD card inside my smartphone, then just remove microSD from phone and insert into A1200 PCMCIA slot. Last edited by delshay on 30-Dec-2013 at 09:31 PM.
