Wipeout 2097
Works on OS4 at least on Update 4, AmigaOS4 emulate chip memory, but you get a DSI error you can ignore it and continue, there are no Wipeout 2097 patches for OS4, this might give a little performance hit because of the hidden illegal memory interrupts (that you just have ignored), but it is playable, you should always reboot after playing the game.

| Hi, how do I get it to run on the AmigaOne 500? I have downloaded Wazp3D and followed the instructions and made sure the 3D works (by running the CubeBM app, after first run a Wazp config file was automatically made too). But Wipeout demo will not start (and does not produce a Wazp config file). There seem to be a little screen opening but it disappears instantly, so I can't tell what it contained. Do I miss any required software, perhaps??

I think it would be too demanding for Wazp. |

Naa it should work, Sam460 is fast enough to play the game with WaZp, atleast on my Flex 800 it start but at the end it freeze (as with the original Warp3D) Last edited by samo79 on 17-Aug-2012 at 06:59 PM.

| I think that your powerpc library doesn't have warpos emulation/wrapping.
Regards, Petrol.
From Powerpc.library documentation, warpos emulation/wrapping is available only on AmigaONE XE, micro Amigaone, Sam440 and classics. Last edited by petrol on 18-Aug-2012 at 04:02 PM. youre right but then lets hope there will be a update so that it will work on a sam460ex board.
so that sam460 users can also play heretic and wipeout etc. again.

| Hi all,
Has anyone had any success running Wipeout on an X1000 with a secondary Radeon9250 card?
I have it installed, but on running it gives the error "Cant open Powerpc.library" My library version is powerpc.library 16.41
TIA

It can't work because the library need to be adapted for each system, actually it works only on AmigaOne G3/G4, Sam440ep and Pegasos 2
There is no support for AmigaOne X1000 and Sam460
Not to count that still many issue even on supported platforms ... _________________ BACK FOR THE FUTURE

| Well I can now confirm that it works on a SAM440, to some extent, I get a DSI error sooner or later when I play it. _________________

Its not 3D thing, actualy its ppc.library / WarpOS related.
That emu wrapper is very old and works 100% only on old AmigaOnes (XE/SE/Micro) and SAM 440 and Peg at best. SAM 460 and X1000, as mentioned, are not supported.
SSolie mentioned its possible to change that, but is no priority here
There seems to be also some Warp3D bugs too, overall game is buggy on OS4 even where WOS emu works. Its recommended to use FPSE and Playstation version Last edited by vox on 10-Mar-2013 at 09:10 PM. Last edited by vox on 10-Mar-2013 at 09:06 PM.

That always made the most sense even when owning a Blizzard/Cyberstorm PPC board was marketed as the next big thing! The fact that the PSX version has The Prodigy/The Chemical Brothers on the soundtrack and the Amiga/PC version didn't made all the difference. You can have the biggest improvement in draw distances in the world but the feel of the game is changed completely with a sub-par soundtrack!_________________ "Art challenges technology. For me it was always about the gameplay. |

+1
Plus another report:
I have tried to install it tonight on my AmigaOne G3 XE but the installer does not work on AmigaOS 4.1.6, it would not let me to select anything using the mouse or keyboard -for example the type of installation-.
It worked with an older update of AmigaOS 4.1.x cause I have installed it successfully on my Sam 440EP using the installer.
I copied the installed directory from my SAM to AmigaOne, added an assign on Startup-Sequence and the game worked without problems as described above on quote.

| Hello
I am the Wazp3D author I have tried several time to make WipeOut works with my Sam440 and wazp3D
It start then at some point it freeze (not Warp3D Wazp3D related)
To try it nedd just to copy the Turrican config file :
Wazp3D/cfg-os4/Wazp3D.cfg-hurrican to Wipeout/Wazp3D.cfg
Then it will works .... then freeze
Alain Thellier
Also There is a bug in Wipeout sources about transparency but it is patched in Wazp3D latests WaRp3D env-vars allow to fix it
