Its an impossibility to convert as a mod is samples which are embedded into the file and are told to trigger on a given channel, ant a given pitch at a given time. You would have to take samples (from the original tune or general instruments etc) and put the mod together. The reason for mods being so small is they reuse the samples for each note. _________________ Amiga A1200, 3.1 ROMs, Blizzard 1230 MKIV 64MB & FPU, 4GB DoM SSD, Workbench 3.1 |

.wav (or any other audio format) => mod : no
.midi => mod : yes (with some limitations), I just dont know any program who does it. manual adjustments will be required (selecting proper samples etc.)

MIDI is a very compact music format, if you have a decent tool for playback. Like MODS, you'll need an instrument set for the conversion.
One tool that can play back MIDI files is tiMIDIty. It's also possible to use CAMDPlay and SoftSyn, though SoftSyn is still in beta. (the most recent version of SoftSyn has an instrument file included)
Users with external MIDI hardware can opt to stream the music out to their own devices.
Of course all this is only useful if you have MIDI files for your music. _________________ question=(2b||!(2b)) |
