ASL as in asl.libray stye file requesters. As opposed the built in thumbnailing file requester.
Goto the ImageFX4 prefs window by clicking the Prefs button (just below the Open button). Four button below the button that opens the Preview Options is another marked Filerequester. Click on that. You have a choice between thumbnail or asl. Whichever you have set try the other one...
If ASL doesn't work you have aproblem with OS4 install. (I'd guess anyway)
Yes - sorry for being so thick!! Before I read your last post, I compared the versions on my two hard drives and found that the File requester was set to ASL in the working version and Thumbnail in the one where the 'Load' was not working. Resetting this to ASL got everything working again! Many Thanks for your advice!
I also noticed that this last version had set everything on Paths to 'Picture', whereas the earlier one had Brush load/Save set to 'Brushes', so I changed that as well. Also, the Render Module was originally set to 'Picasso' whereas the later one is set to 'Amiga', but that seems to work OK!
I'd better pass the info. on to the IFX forum!

Glad I could be of assistance and well done for getting the installer out. I believe my friend has also tried it. I also have Sheldon Leeman's AmigaDOS manual!

[old thread resurrection mode=on] In case anyone is interested, I found out how to get Cinemorph to work. Don't use the FP version. The regular version works fine w/out JIT. [/old thread]
