oops just tried it and was messing with resolutions..seems my monitor can't see the bottom of the screen to click on an option at 1280x?

ok found mod file but what co-ordinates do i enter to go back to 1024x768??

Seems 640x480 is the ideal resolution on my AmigaOne 500. Anything higher and the poor guy runs in slow motion.

@Androxyn

On my X1000 the slow down comes on any screen over 1024x768.
I'm really enjoying this latest version of flare

Tried the new version yesterday. I've posted it also on OS4Depot, but I will post it also here.

Really nice game, and I have tested all the previous ports. I didn't have problems with speeds, but now in this release even on 640x480 in window mode and all extras to off, the game is somewhat slow, and it stalls every 2-3 seconds while you move around. I didn't have such problems in previous releases. Tested on PegasosII G4, 1GB RAM and ATI Radeon 9250 256MB.

0.18 is unplayable - stalls periodically much like described above - on my system. PM me if you want to try it on your fast machine. Looks like I won't be replacing 0.17 on OS4Depot.

just tried it v0.18 and it works great so far on my X1000 with 1024x768 though I didn't have time to mess with getting my joypad working 100%. will do more testing later tonight but so far I really like the improvements

try it on 800x600, during my testing I got between 24-30 fps at 1024x768 without going anywhere with a lot of enemies. With 800x600 I got 30 fps almost constantly, occasionally dipping to 29.

If you are using minicore mod, you have probably noticed the graphics look worse than they should. This has been fixed:

You get 18 new files.
