@Thematic

Not sure if this config is enough then to run Celestia:

- OS 4.1.4 Installed on a 64G SSD
- 640G SATA Hard Drive
- 2GB SODIMM memory
- Radeon 4650 PCI-E Graphics card
- SI3114 4 Port SATA PCI Card
- LG DVD Burner
- 600W ATX Power Supply
- Internal USB multi-card reader

Please confirm

You do not have 3D acceleration available do you?

@WeiXing3D

Maybe you can wait for a suitable driver. It will be fine then.

WEll with the mouse you can use RMB on workbench go to "System" then "Shell"

Also by kyrbrd :

Right Amiga + "E" gives you a command window and then type "new shell"

Well I have an A1-XE @800 with a radeon7000/VE 64MB and it works fine (bit slow).
Just dl-ed from os4depot opened a Shell and raised stack to 2MB and then run celestia and no problems.
Tried some of the new radeon_lib envvars and no big problems (with ForceChromaTest ON it shows a black window).

@Valiant

What LIBS:mglut.library do you have?
Here the one that works is 192828 bytes (V2.5) and the one that makes celestia GR is 199.332 bytes (same version V2.5 and date).

If you want I can send you (PM) mglut.library and confirm is working or not (and is mglut_lib fault).

Ok, I'm up to update 6 now and Celestia's still working great on my XE, but I've never got it to work on the X1000. Nothing happens when I click on the icon and when I try to run it from a shell the cursor disappears for a minute and then comes back with nothing happening. Has anyone run it successfully on the X1000?

@Valiant

I just started Celestia and it seems to work (though I didn't looked really deep into it). It needs of course a working 3D environment, so did you install Wazp3D?

Yes, I did in order to get Blender and miniGL Earth demo working. They run fine now and only Celestia's is having problems...
