@thinkchip

I very much doubt Apple have the slightest interest in this project, especially given they disowned their own PowerPC platform years ago.

I think part of the bounty conditions was that it would be open source. Frags donated €1000 because it will benefit MorphOS. If you can drum up support in PPC Mac circles then go for it.

No. There is no such date.

@AmigaBlitter

Can somebody compile a X1000 version and send it to Ramos?

Don't know.
I have the little sam440ep.

Its not that easy, its assembler optimizing that is wrong for the PA-Semi, you need to replace some CPU instructions, but we don't know what instructions to replace whit what.

Just recompiling the Exe files does nothing, beside the GCC c compiler we do have does not even support the CPU fully, it want help at all.

@AmigaBlitter

I excpect this will work better than the version I tried on my G4 Mac a month ago. I tried it with a plain A1200 config and with my RTG Workbench. It just crashed instantly. That's WIP for you.

For some reason E-UAE on OSX is lame. It's too slow. It is suppossed to have HW acceleration but I don't see it. E-UAE on a 1.6Ghz Mac is slower that E-UAE on a 800Mhz A1! Doesn't make sense. At double the speed it runs at a quarter to what it should!

On my A1 Worms plays fine. On my Mac it is unplayable, stutters and it won't go fulls creen. Lame. And this is a config copied from my Mac with HiToro. I hope E-UAE-JIT on OSX brings it up to par with the OS4 EUAE-Non-JIT version at least!

@Hypex

If your Mac is one of those supported by MorphOS, then try also that version, just for a curiosity how it works on 1.67GHz...

@Raffaele

Yes it is. Good idea.

Unfortunately I'm unable to test ATM as my laptop power adaptors have gone belly up. I suspect the time the socket overheated and melted the plasiic around it has come home to roost. Was fine last week. Hopefully a new adaptor works.
