@sicky

Hi Mick,

I've only just got round to trying my Wacom Tablet.
It is a "Wacom Graphire Classic XL A5"

I haven't installed any "drivers" as such, just ProAction, and PIL as required by sketchblock, and my tablet works straight out of the box.

Further to your post I have just loaded Photogenics 5 (release 121), and that also seems to work, OK.

I think the tablet is probably only being interpreted by AOS as a usb mouse, but at least both the programs you are interested in work with my wacom tablet.

Hope that helps.

@Swoop

As said in this other thread without a specific driver Wacom tablets acts like USB mice. However if you really want to use it as a tablet you must install my driver., you'll gain all tablets features (abs positioning, pressure control, etc. )

Thank you, thats very helpful, think I will purchase a
Wacom model that's not too expensive, I have PIL installed and also have ProAction but have never used it, do I have to run it before I can use the tablet?

@sicky

PIL and ProAcrion are nothing to do with tablets.

PIL is Python Imaging Library and provides export file type conversion.

ProActionn is GUI server for scripts and provides small extra GUI windows for the various control scripts like SaleImage RotateLayer etc.

It's started by the script on demand (uses Appdir: so start at least one with ProActionCtrl to populte that mechanism)

@afxgroup

Hi, I have one of these which I hope will work with Sketchblock. Can anyone confirm this?

Trust-Screen-Design-Tablet-TB-7300

I am unable to test it as my X1000 is boxed until some house renovations are complete.

Thanks.

@broadblues

A new Truecolor picture manipulation program?

Good idea, makes more sense than a port of 8 bit palette oriented software.

Maybe you should include some options especially for icon editing, anim gif support etc ...
