- A "disconnected" window appears when you're disconnected now

Thanks Jahc. Your my hero. I found a problem. If i change in prefs UTF8 convert from us-ascii to iso-8859-15 and then save/use and restart sabre its still shows us-ascii in prefs.

I've just fixed the loading of the charset setting. v0.39 now online. Next to do: fix the crashes under os3.

I've tried Sabre before, but still I'm almost unable to get any contacts visible in the list. When retrying Connect once or twice or many times I never get a complete contacts list. At most 3 or 4, but never a complete list and usually the list stays empty..

Any hope for me?

Maybe crazy answer bur maybe black background and black caracters on the contact window of sabreMSN.

Use MUI settings for sabreMSN and change colors (on Nlist). Maybe

Nope, don't think so as Text Pens are all black and background colours whithe or light colors that should make the dark text visible, and, sometimes some of the contacts show up.

With the latest version (0.39) I have one little problem. When I'm on MSN with my pc I cannot login with Amiga, but with older versions I could. So now I have to log-out first from msn on pc to be able to connect on the Amiga.

Also the first time I've been connected, I couldn't see my contacts list (first time in all versions happened), and I have to reconnect again to see them.

Sounds pretty weird! I wonder if Microsoft have made changes to their server?

I notice if I dont set my presence when I login, and do it manually about 5-10 seconds later, the online contacts seem to appear. So, I've made SabreMSN retrieve the contacts list, then when it receives the last one, it starts a timer that waits 5 seconds until setting the online presence to "online". This will be in the next version possibly. I've tried a few experimental things to get the whole contacts list.. this might be the solution.

Is it your list of contacts, or the list of ONLINE contacts? I'm aware of online contacts not showing up as online.. I havent heard of the contacts list not appearing.

It is the list of contacts. Don't know if it is related to online or not since all are away during the holidays..

You could load SabreMSN twice. I dont want to add multiple account support because I dont think many people need that.

OS4 USERS, PLEASE SEND ME YOUR CRASHLOGS!

I didnt know it was crashing some OS4 users.. and the thing is, OS4 crashlogs make it very easy to pinpoint where problems are.

It's still crashing my OS3 users, unfortunately.. but heres an update for others:

2008-12-31 : Alpha 40
- You cannot send blank messages by pressing enter anymore
- After the contacts list is retrieved, SabreMSN will set a timer for 5
seconds before sending the initial presence, and this seems to make
ALL the online contacts show up as online now. Let me know if this
fixes the problem for you guys.
- Added a tooltype LOGO=TRUE to enable the logo graphics in the empty
space when no tabs are open (for OS3 users).
- Rejiggered the rename code. When a rename message is received, it
will update the internal contacts list, and rename the tab if its open
- Tabs are activated properly when clicked on now
- When you switch to a different tab, the first tab looked raised and
weird. I've managed to semi-fix it.
- The chat string gadget is now activated after selecting an emoticon
from the popup chooser
- Uniconifying will jump to the bottom of the chat display now
