| For some time I have been trying to connect to Amigaworld's irc chat server from a firewalled connection. Unfortunately all 'funky' ports are closed so no dice... I even tried directly from this portal, still wouldn't let me in.
Considering my limited knowledge, I assume these are my possible solutions:
1. Find an xx.amigaworld.net server that accepts incoming connection on port 80.
Anyone knows of any?
2. Run a private irc server which connects to xx.amigaworld.net and set it to accept connections on port 80 - preferably on my Sam440 :)
I dont know if this is even possible!
3. Leave my Sam440 on while I'm away from home, and somehow use it remotely by connecting to it via port 80.
I dont know if this is possible...
4. Have a bot running on amigaworld then connect to it via telnet... on port 80 :P
Again, is this possible?
Any suggestions on 1-4, or any other way is appreciated :)
Cheers

Well, seeing as you are now logged into irc on #amigaworld, you somehow obviously figured it out! _________________ ¤¤ Official Hyperion Zealot ¤¤

Maybe because I'm logged in from home, not "somewhere else"
The problem is that I would like to log in from "somewhere else". _________________
