| I'll be blunt. I wanted to support and compile for everything, but lately its getting hard to work up the motivation. Too much trolling on my favourite Amiga board. Years of it.
I still respect everyone's choice to use whatever platform they want. |

I understand your comments but you can't let the bottom feeders rule the tank! (I know just happening to be looking at my aquarium as I'm typing this )
seriously though, I think it's only a good thing if you support both AROS and MOS as look at the great help both Yannick for AROS and Fab for MOS are giving to AOS lately
so again please don't let the trolls discourage you as there are great developers/users on all camps _________________ ____________________________ c64-2sids, A1000, A1200T-060@50(finally working!),A4000-CSMKIII ! My Master Miggies- Amiga 1000 & AmigaOne X1000 ! mancave-ramblings X1000 I BELIEVE |

Sounds a bit like jealousy now that AROS has taken the high ground. Last edited by persia on 01-Sep-2010 at 03:58 AM.

jealous of what exactly?? I support both AOS and AROS and although I have no interest in MOS I still respect the work most of the dev team has done with that platform...so on what basis did you make your comment _________________ ____________________________ c64-2sids, A1000, A1200T-060@50(finally working!),A4000-CSMKIII ! As you likely know, these politics are silly and advanced by silly people. Please do what makes you happy and satisfied by developing whatever software you want for whatever system(s) you want. Thanks for your tireless work.

I think it's perfectly ok to drop support if you dont' want or have the time/possibilites to support some platforms, but blaming it on trolls on forums is a bit cheap. At least I would've never implemented OS4-support to my demosystem if I'd let forumtrolls steer my decisions :) |

You're welcome back anytime you like. Thanks for your support and I still think you should make your software shareware.

Too bad then because as far as I know persia isn't even registered at AROS Exec at least I seldom see him there. If you see what I mean ?Last edited by Manu on 01-Sep-2010 at 06:01 AM.

Yah, sometime I just don't understand why guy's like him enjoy causing more problems. I like to think I'm open to other ppl enjoying their platform of choice, but it's getting real hard to keep thinking that way when the trolls keep hammering away at my fav platform. _________________ Hate tends to make you look stupid... |

That's sad. I use Wookiechat on morphos quite often and it's very nice piece of soft. I somewhat don't understand your motivation. Trolling exists in every community. One of main Os4 developer is trolling about morphos owb on amigans.net ("...doesn't even have an usable GUI but uses some MUI crap instead") and because of that morphos people should stop working / helping for os4 ports ? |

You can't be accused of trolling in an OS4 specific haven... it would be different if he went to MorphOS and said something to that affect...
Not everyone believes imitations have the same rights (especially in more specific forums) than others do (generally those that haven choosen a different path) some want to keep it all seperate... that is why people went there own ways in the first place isn't it? *boggle*
I guess you can understand my nature LOL but I've always said all along that AmigaOS does not need other developers from abstract OSs... it's the other way around (and possibly more linked with the name Amiga) and if I had my way I'd break all the links permanently...
I just wish everyone to go there own way and leave each other in damn peace, be happy if you feel you're on a win, I don't care LOL... AmigaOS is an exciting platform and we get energy just using it you just can't beat what you can't understand or relate too, it's possibly why you choose a different path in the first place, who knows... we don't need any grey areas and for me there are none actually... I've never understood it but I know why it occurs...

Same here.
Also, I think one of the ideas about amigans.net was that it would have more strict moderation, but for some reason, some OS4 developer is allowed to badmouth someone, who clearly has put way more time and effort into his OWB port by claiming his version "doesn't even have an usable GUI" and that his entire project "doesn't make any sense at all" (compared to his own, how to put it nicely... "more minimalistic" port) |

Your work on all platforms is very important, all I can say is that true Aros fans greatly appreciate your efforts.

Really sorry to hear that jahc. Please don't forget threads like the MUI4/Zune one. Many of us want to put down money to make the lives of developers easier and strengthen all 3 platforms. I hope there's something that will entice you back one day, but thanks for giving us the apps in the first place.
