Hi everyone,

I'm trying to copy my work partition to a backup, but am having some issues with AmigaOS filesystem links. These are in the SDK install, of which I have a few including older versions.

SDK/POSIX/bin is a link to SDK/C, and neither dopus4 (from 4.1u1 install CD extras), LHA 2.8 or "copy #? all clone" work. dopus and LhA give errors. copy doesnt' give an error at the end, or a blocking error as it goes, but does not put anythin gat all in the destination.

Does anything copy links properly? I've never seen a link in AmigaOS filesystem before, that I know of, so this is a new one for me.

I need to reorganize paritions to install Linux beside OS4.1 and perhaps 4.0.

@billt

i only can recommend that one:
backup from onyxsoft

i only use this when copying whole partitions (aka backup) when reorganising them.

the system copy command does not copy/keep links at all. the workbench copy does not keep relative links but copies them as absolute ones (afaik).

regards...
michael
