Hi All,

Had to share... my shiny new AmigaOne X-1000 arrived here a few days ago. Haven't spent nearly enough time with it yet, but will be rectifying that soon. Came amazingly fast after I received the shipment notification from AmigaKit. Extremely well packaged and not a scuff on it! Initial impressions compared to my AmigaOne XE, it is FAST! I can only imagine how this will fly once the second core is enabled. Well Done to everyone involved with this project!!

Congratulations! It's great news to me whenever another X1000 has arrived in the States. Hopefully, I'll be able to report some similar news in a few weeks.

@L8Knight

Congrats on your X1000 purchase! I am going to go turn my X1000 on in just a few minutes to try some new software installations. Did you get the White case, or the Black case?

Like someone else wrote already, it is nice to see another X1000 owner in the USA receive his computer from AmigaKit. I was born in Pontiac, MI and still have many relatives all over Michigan that I have not seen in over 40 years. I should probably go back and visit some day while at least a few of them are still alive.

I just received my replacement case from AmigaKit after FedEX damaged by original case. It showed up yesterday and like you said in your post, it is shiny and beautiful. The most beautiful Amiga case ever designed and manufactured (sorry if this offends any of the original Amiga 680x0 only users our there, I am still a big fan and user of original Commodore Amiga's, and still own over 15 of them and use them when I get the urge.) AmigaKit is the greatest at customer service, and I am glad they took care of the damage claim with FedEX so well for me.

I hope that the next production run of X1000's sells out almost as quickly as the "First Contact" production run did. (will the second production run still be considered a "First Contact" X1000?)

Congratulations!

How long ago did you get you e-mail about prepayment and stuff? Just so I can estimate the minimum possible time I might have until I get mine...

Impatient?! What?? Me?!?! Nooooooo

@Deniil715

Are these "second batch" systems or "First Contact"?

@jorkany

I would be surprised if any of the second production run X1000's are already shipping to owner/purchasers. My guess is that it is the last of the "First Contact" buyers are still getting their X1000's, but I might be wrong.

I wonder if the second production for public sale (beta-testers got the real first production run) are still going to be called "First Contact" X1000's? Or are they going to be called "Second Contact" X1000's?

Hey, I'm glad you got yours!

I want one, but I am still undecided. Although when they send me the, "It's ready." note I'll most likely say yes.

I am not ashamed to say that I am feeling somewhat jealous of those who have theirs already.

Hmm... Just what are you using right now? Why let that beautiful machine sit idle!

Which case did you get? I'd like to know which case shows up the engraving better.

I am glad to hear that.
