| As you nicely observe, beside ssolies mentioning at Amiwest, it didn`t go anywhere near official, announced or presented. |
What constitutes "official" or "announced" to you? I'm curious.
Presented, right. That didn't happen.

They would have to fist start the project in order to cancel it.
One person mentioning it as a side note at a single event does not a project make.

Wise thing to say. All the wisdom I see in this topic is exactly what this forum missed months ago, when very vocal people were pretty sure an actual AmigaOne netbook was going into mass production two weeks after... |

Odd comment coming from someone who contributed to Amigaroundtable.
HJF discussed the project (content cleared by Hyperion and clearly stated) on the episode right after AmiWest 2011.
Try about 32:15 into this episode

You've got to be kidding me.

Whatever Ssolie is on I want some. Look, you cant call every idea that goes through your head a project. And even if Ssolie went online a bought a limepc ppc netbook when they were available, and then gave it to the the Frieden brothers and asked "See if you can get AmigaOS 4.x running on this", it's still not a project.
Just like porting MorhOS to PowerMac G5 is not a project. It's some guy working in his spare time to see if maybe there's a chance of possibly getting MorphOS 3.x running on a PowerMac G5.
And when I say it's not a project I mean not a business project, because after all, Hyperion Entertainment is some sort of business entity, if you believe the stuff on their website.
I wouldn't even call them side projects, these things are hobbies. Mere curiosities. And unlike the MorphOS G5 hobby, the AmigaOS 4.x on a netbook is doomed from the beginning as there is no hardware.
Hyperion are not a hardware company, and A-Eon have not posed some strange riddle on their website in a lame attempt to create a viral meme surrounding a product that will be released 2 years beyond the teased release schedule.
AmigaOS 4.2 is an actual project and it is taking forever, on hardware which is actually available. So Ssolie should call it what it is; a nice-to-have, but the ship on that one has sailed a long time ago.

Isn't Bigfoot one of the main MorphOS devs rather than some guy, and it sounds like he's doing a pretty good job of getting MorphOS working on G5 machines despite your disparaging comments.
Most NG development is spare time stuff anyway but didn't Frags put up a substantial amount of his pennies as a reward for for hard work* that Bigfoot is doing.
* yes, actual grafting rather than whining or telling people how they could do it better or how they can spend their money.Last edited by Rob on 17-Apr-2013 at 12:42 AM.
