Hello folks!

I have been running the Memory Test software (memtester) on my A1 XE G3. It is running non stpp the past three -or more- days, through a command line shell. I am doing nothing else with the machine, only having this running. It is on Loop 6 and everything is reported with an ok status. I executed it without any parameters.

So is it going to finish anytime and when?
How many loops should be reached?

When I have executed on boot -booted without Startup sequence and run he program, it finished in some minutes -all in ok status again-. Now what?

You should type memtester [amount of memory to test] [number of loops to perform]
Using a "1" for loop will give you a good idea of how long a more extensive test will take.
CTRL-C will abort
You can redirect output to file as well with something like:
memtester 256 1 >ram:[filename]

6 loops without errors, you are good & set to go, most errors show on the 1st loop.

The old threads show we settled on 5.

Oh, and best to cold start before the test, since you mentioned any background tasks will use memory that will not be tested.
