Do you mean that it was working, then you replaced the card and it didn't anymore? Make sure the card is properly seated in the slot. What can you see when you power it on? Can you see U-boot's screen? Can you see the keyboard leds flashing? Can you hear HD activity? One thing that could help is connecting the A1 to another machine through the serial port and inspecting the debug output. Also, search the Amiga forums: there's a wealth a similar threads already. _________________ RETREAM - retro dreams for Amiga, Commodore 64 and PC |

does it work with a different card?

Also, there is a UBoot setting for PCI or AGP. I've only ever used AGP and haven't changed it nor used PCI so I don't know if it won't boot with this set incorrectly. Others can shed more light on this. |

I learned the hard way NOT to mess too much with AmigaOnes. The processor board is extremely sensitive to bumps and trepidation. I installed a new gfx card and after a few weeks started noticing problems. A few months later it stopped working altogether.
Needed an operation done overseas that would cost me 300EUR WITHOUT guarantee it would work after that. That was the end of my Amiga experience, after almost 2 decades. ;(.
Hopefully it's not what you're experiencing. |
