OK keep the vintage label, and yes, you can fool some one for double price, but for x50 value or so ... _________________ OS 3.x AROS and MOS supporter, fi di good, nothing fi di unprofessionalism. Learn it harder way! SinclairQL and WII U lover :D YT http://www.youtube.com/user/rasvoja |

Well, if you knew anyone who tried x50 price for hardware, let us know.
Would be like asking 10 000 GBP for mint A1200 with accell. board_________________ OS 3.x AROS and MOS supporter, fi di good, nothing fi di unprofessionalism. Learn it harder way! SinclairQL and WII U lover :D YT http://www.youtube.com/user/rasvoja |

I suspect that listing may just be there to draw attention to his other items for sale. |

| Let me clear this up. As a top rated eBay seller myself I know the importance of not letting a listing end. Its madness but the more sold on a listing the higher up the search result on eBay the listing becomes. Plus any links to the page and search engines become established and if there is a stock control system linked to eBay (as is mine), then keeping the listing going is important.
So the reason Ian would have put the price up to 1000 pounds is to reserve the listing/item number until he has stock again - if not ending and re-listing puts him in a bad position. If you look at the purchase history, you will see the ROMs are sold at £15.99 and they will be no doubt when he has stock again. If he was to keep the price at £15.99 with no stock, people would buy the product and he would get bad ratings/feedback for slow despatch.
No craziness here folks, sorry to ruin the witch hunt. _________________ Amiga A1200, 3.1 ROMs, Blizzard 1230 MKIV 64MB & FPU, 4GB DoM SSD, Workbench 3.1 |

So its modern marketing strategy? And then you just change the price or re list the item with different one? Good to know. Somehow I missed the release of Flink and had assumed that it got canned until I read about it a few years ago. I do have a copy of Global Chaos around somewhere, I think I paid about £10 for it. |

And then people say NG Amigas are expensive.
1000GBP for Amiga CDTV game ...
This "reserve item" thing seems to make more and more sense. Or those vintage collectors really highly value nostalgia, and wont easily give it up _________________ OS 3.x AROS and MOS supporter, fi di good, nothing fi di unprofessionalism. I bought one of his hxc floppy emulators it is a great little gizmo.
That A1200 flash board looks cool. Wonder if it limited to 1MB ROM images or it can somehow work around that. _________________ A1200T 603e 330Mhz - Mediator TX OS4.1 F.E. CDTV 8MB Fast, OS3.1, SCSI, MicroSD SCSI & CD32 FMV X5000, X1000, A1XE with OS4.1F.E. |

I see your point. In that case I'm putting my X1000 up for sale for 100,000 GBP. It has a jet black case. Cool blue lights on the inside. And is the fastest AmigaOS machine ever built. On top of that it's the rare beta build. And has dual blu ray burners!
Anyone interested? Last edited by Hypex on 30-May-2013 at 02:34 AM.

Don't forget that PA Semi cpu inside was going to be Apple's G6. Sell that to a Mac fan!_________________ Men who have girlies in their avatars are Girliemen! |

What's the problem in listing again when stock is refueled?. It's just silly to put it at that price, and is false advertising, as you are stating that they will be sold at 15 pounds. _________________ Amiga 1200 desktop.
