I feel I could not recall all the reasons.
Perhaps we could collect them here.
So, why is AOS4 not (yet) on the x86?

because ppc at the time had more inroads into amiga than x86 did. hyperion then made the decision to use ppc. as a result we are stuck with ppc as they feel it would be pointless to redo aos4 for x86 seeing how few aos systems are being sold. if someone payed for the port they might reconsider but i doubt it.

basically hyperion publicly says no.
