Can't say I am surprised. It was bound to happen at some point as developers have complained in the past about the PS3 been a pain to code for.

@CritAnime

Good news for PC gaming, as with 8 cores in a PS4, programmers will HAVE to get off their lazy single-threaded asses and start using those extra cores.

Can't see that being any easier to write games for than Cell, though. Honestly I can't.

All in all, it brings me back to my usual point: We NEED to have multicore support on Amiga, there is just NO way of getting more performance without it.

Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean.

Easy come, easy go. It gave zero benefit to us that they were using the Cell anyway.

x86 or ARM support is even more badly needed.

By the time it was ported, it would be far behind AROS' development on both x86 and ARM. Their only real option is continue with PPC.

What on earth would be the point of porting to x86 or ARM without also adding multicore support?

Well, no OS4 for PowerMacs, so won't expect any wonders.
