Main features Complete 2d and 3d graphic engine. Integrated editor and tools. Particle, water and volumetric fog effects. Fast collision system. Realtime shadows. Video codec for mobile and desktop systems. Full game framework. Network engine. Modularity, other middlewares like 3d engine, physic, script language or network library can be plugged. Simplified and documented API completely platform independant. Supported languages are C, C++ and Gel (embedded fast and simple script). Develop once for several platforms. Free with standard license. Antiryad Gx was used to create more than 35 projects by various companies and organizations.
It is planned to be published for AROS X86/64 in September. A version for 68k is planned (not certain yet)

Great to know. Good point for AROS, starting to show its superiority over os4 and mos |

Yes it is good news. I try to get back some of the developers. But I would not call it "superiority" (f.e. MorphOS has a better desktop), I would say strength. And that it runs on X86/X64 is a big advantage when contacting developers. |

Does it require 3D accelleration? |

No at the moment and on 68k it uses software rendering, the developer plans to adapt it that it makes full use of the 3D capabilities of AROS. |

yes .... about what superiority are you speaking ? No Mem protected , no multi processing like Amiga Os 4 and Morphos ... Superior because is on Intel/Amd cpu? or Superior because compared with Amiga Os 4 have the 3d driver ? _________________

Oh no! Please not that topic here too. None is "superior", every OS has its specific strength and weakness. The strength of AROS is to run on modern standard hardware and to have 3D support. That is what here counts. |

Obviously both, and many other reasons, like a future, better and stronger community, a lot better distribution system, philosophy, etc... I don´t wanna go offtopic, but the more you think about it, the more reasons you find. |
