I just realized I should have put in the ad that I would do PMs for offers as well. I noticed there are a few icons/links, one that looks like it might let me edit the entry. However, whenever I click that one (looks like a pencil on a piece of paper), it takes me to a page that then says I'm being redirected to the main ads page.

That doesn't seem right.

Anyway, would it be possible to make a small change? So it says "contact by email or PM"?

Or should I close it and then create a new one?

Either way, if you close it create a new one, might be the quickest way.

Or, PM me or Steve, we can edit it.

@tomazkid

Think I'll just close it and make a new one.

Thanks

I just closed it again and made another one, since no one was even really making offers. Reduced the price.

Really would be nice to be able to edit them like over on Amigans.net. I was able to make two little changes and re-post it without issues.

Only reason I'm concerned is I REALLY need to sell this fast.

@DWolfman

I sold a complete system last year with 1Ghz G4, 320GB HD, DVDRW, 1GB RAM, Radeon 9200 and Radeon X1550. It sold for £405 but I had restricted the sale to UK residents mainly because I was worried about how well it would be handled overseas, as it turned out Parcel Force must dropped it because the case arrived all smashed in and the CPU card was hanging off. Thankfully it all worked and I was able to get compensation to the value of the case.

edit

You might get more, you might get less. Opening up to overseas buyers will probably get more money.

I previously sold a lesser specced G4 system for over £1000 but that was prior to the Sam440 going on sale. I'd still personally rate the A1 G4 higher than a Sam460, at least until 3D comes to the RadeonHD cards.

@Rob

Well, so far I've only had one offer, and that was from someone not in the USA! Tried to low-ball me too much and get me to include shipping overseas.

I may be desperate for cash, but I'm not that desperate.

Sad but I do realize I'm not likely to get as much as I want for it. They held their value quite well up through 2009 I'd say. That's when I bought this board for about what I paid for the first one when it was new, about $900.

@tomazkid

I may need to make a change to the ad again. That one offer wanted to see pictures of it in the case, which is going to be a pain to do to begin with (it's in a desk, under another computer, with LOTS of wires connecting everything to power, LAN, and a KVM switch). I will likely just add them to my server's external web server like I do other photos I've put in the forums, then send the links, if I can get the cover off the case without disturbing too much other stuff.

No worries, just submit another, if you like, re-worded, if you care to do that, and we'll take care of it.

And good luck.
