Check out the following link:

http://www.osnews.com/story.php?news_id=7596

It explains how to 'Aquafy' Windows, so that Windows very closely imitates Mac OS X - not just in terms of wallpapers, colour schemes, and icons, but even in terms of gadgets, window title bars, log in screen, etc.

What I want to know, is there anything similar that allows us to 'Intuitionize' Windows to make it imitate Amiga OS. I would love to imitate Workbench 1.3 to bring back the feeling of the old days!

@captainmoomoo

WindowBlinds maybe but you'll have to do the skin yourself.

I guess you could make Windoze look like AmigaOS, but that wouldn't make it any less prone to crashing, or more user-friendly!

"Windoze" and "Intuition" don't exactly go together do they?

True, but I wanna confuse my students when I hook up my laptop to the projector when delivering lectures. They'll think they're seeing an Amiga laptop running AmigaOS!

PS. Does anyone know where I can find a Workbench 1.3 skin for WindowBlinds?

And compare their findings with the (their) average omnipresent Windoze box and say: "Well, it does not make that much difference to make so much noise about it, does it! We'll stick with what we have as it is all the same shi'."

Unless you explicitly state that this is the way it lookes or looked, but that it certainly not represents the feel of speed of a real Amiga, it may work against you!

Otherwise a nice idea.

@captainmoomoo

Considering the normal WinXP skin has exactly the same blue and orange colour scheme as Workbench 1.3, do you need to skin it at all?

@RoqueFort

This is a screen grab of my Win98 system

and no it doesnt stop it from crashing any more than usual, but it makes windows so much more pleasurable to use

@samos3.9

And I wonder why somebody wants to rape Amiga that way. (Not anything against you samos3.9 !)

@captainmoomoo

Being someone that gets to use windows & OSX just about every day (except in the weekends) i fail to see what's so appealing to Aqua or the XP theme.

My current system runs Gentoo with icewm/rox as DM, i don't need fancy window animations, HUGE! icons or any other crap

@captainmoomoo

Why not just run WinUAE on your laptop? :=). Ypu could always view the lecture slides(?) using Apdf or something like that.

Hehe, the first thing I said when I saw XP was "dang, it's WB1.3".

Window Blinds
If your using Windows XP then you should be fine downloading the free version.
If your using Win98 ect like me you have to buy the full software pakege as the free version isnt copatible with Win9x

But then again you could download the full version like i did as shareware, but that was naughty of me

Then all you need is the OS4 THEM HERE

and your sorted !

Windows nevr looked so good until now
