Hello,
I can't figure out how to save games in runinuae.
I have read the docs and it say's ....... is best if you tell your games to save to the "SaveGames" disk (which is automatically inserted into E-UAE's virtual floppy drive DF0).

Any help please,

Thanks.

@electric-magic

Saving will depend on the game, some games have codes you need to enter to get a point in the game, and some need a extra save disk, some games like CD32 games save saves games to S: , and some HD games might save it to current directory, some games save it to ENVARC:, so there are many ways games are saved.

If you have a compressed disk images its not where likely that UAE supports saving to it, if you want to save to floppy it should be ADF format.

I think the mounted directory is write protected, you can try to open an application in runinuae.

@electric-magic

You can make a savestate file for every game.

If you Edit the config for every game (there is a menu entry to edit it manually, then it opens the Editor).

Put a new line in it:
statefile=gameName.uss

Then while playing:

CTRL+Alt + Nampad 0 Quick save emulator state.
CTRL+Alt + Right Shift + Numpad 0 Quick load emulator state.

I use it for games i Play often and want to save my current state or if the loading is to Long, then i make a snapshot in the menu... it loads in seconds after it (instead of seeing whdload Screens etc.)

Hope it works,

imagodespira

... OK STRG is german for Ctrl (control)
