Was there a 1200 only version of Lotus 2 as per the link below?

As far as I was aware there was not and it cannot be authentic, but I could be wrong.

@Amiga1200Mark

I don't think an AGA version of Lotus 2 exists. A quick search at HOL (Hall of Light) didn't bring up an AGA version.

@PG

Fake label. There were CD32 versions of the Lotus Trilogy but not sure if the gfx were updated though.

Rude!

@Rudei

I have that CD, apart from the audio tracks it seems like the bare necessities only (loader).

Good to see HOL back online.

@Amiga1200Mark

Its the A1200 fixed version. The normal release didnt work on A1200s until Gremlin released a fix, this looks like it. Of course if your A1200 has some fastram it will play Lotus 2 :)

@Amiga1200Mark

Did you get it?

BTW, the really interesting one to look out for is the A1200 version of Lotus III.

It fixes the horrible frame-rate of Lotus III on the A500/+, making it pretty much the ultimate Lotus game. I imagine it's rare and I don't know how many people got to play it, but snap it up if you see it!

A fixed A500 version that worked on the A1200? - Yes

A specific A1200 version with lovely AGA graphics - No

@clebin

I have all the Lotus games and I have to say I don't notice any issues with framerate in Lotus 3. - Hey - maybe I have the rare fixed version!

If it runs direct from floppy on an A1200, you probably do! The slow-down only happens in 2-player, by the way, but it spoils the best part of the game. Have you tried your version with WHDLoad?

you guys should stop relying 100% on HOL for rare stuff, there's still uncovered games on HOL and while its probably close to be 100% it is not that right now.

There is an A1200 version of Lotus 2 as others have said, its just the patched version, the only way to get it to run on the 1200 back then was either by attaching fastram or by using relockick so gremlin issued a revision and that revision is this one.

(the revisied game was bundled in various game bundles and budget labels)
