Have tried this on my Sam440EP but the games were so slow that were not playable.

Same goes for a Mac Mini under MorphOS.

Are there any updates on this?

No problem here, regarding speed, on my Sam440. Maybe a bad configuration of yours

In this case the AmigaOS4 version is better than MorphOS, and with the problems of speed I played with my crashed Sam667 MHZ without problems of speed, perhaps you need a previous version of OpenBor for it, now with my current Sam the games run fine.

Well I actually tried the version one year before. I will retry again, perhaps there is a new version available since then that fix the fix problem.

There are tons of games with sources, wich we haven't ever heard. Several car/sport games wich would be nice. There are really few games in those genres.
