Knowing the rock bottom minimum amount of current A1 owners (only those registered with AW for A1 owner forum access, although I am sure there are many more) IMO this amount is OK for something that's still considered to be a Developer Pre-release. However IMO with the final release we really need to make some kind of commercial breakthrough.

Personally I don't see this happening for MOS anymore, considering its issues. IMO AmigaOS4.x does still have a chance with Garry Hare possibly pushing projects and opportunities.

More users here! The A1 is great, got this usb mouse and the roll button works immediatly. The "three in one button" works. Not saying about SBLive,Radeon (8500+) and all the rest. Wow! Us Amigans should become very very pleased now and in the future. :)

Well, be it 1000, 1500, 2000 or even 5000: it is ridiculously low :(

This explains why nor Eyetech nor Bplan never gives official sales figures.

I would rather say that each morphos (core) developer decide what happens with the part(s) he developed... I hope it's different in the OS4 team :)

@MikeB
Just look onto amiga-news.de and find out why there won't be any OS4
for that PPC-STB.

Seems that the reality-distortion-field installed under Amino-Amiga
is still in place under KMOS-Amiga.

Bout MOS, the MOS-coders can decide what to do with it, to which HW to
port, what features to implement etc, Hyperion doesn't seem to have
that basic freedom with OS4 ......

I don't know what you are talking about. It seems to me nobody within this thread is talking about the (AHT?) STB.

@MikeB

Well, it was you, who brought Garry Hare into this, and how he would bring "projects and opportunities" into the Amiga. I only showed you how he actually handles those "projects and opportunities".

I also fail to see the relevance of the MOS-future to this threat, but somehow I'm not suprised that you couldn't stop yourself from adding your one-sided view on this affair into this.

Everybody in this thread (except you, but you aren't telling) is just guessing, so why is it only me that "has" to back up his numbers ? I mean some of the number are obviously much to high, but somehow being overoptimistic isn't a problem for you.

It is you that always claims to know better. I am not at liberty to disclose any numbers, I am just interested how you get your numbers.

But as usual, you evade to answer the question but asking another question yourself, or stating half-guessed "facts".

Business as usual.

You don't know any of the specifics nor both sides of the story. Why not simply refrain from making such comments?

However Garry Hare is the CEO of Amiga Inc and therefore relevant to this thread, unlike AHT is.

Maybe you should read before commenting to this thread. Just reread the first posting within this thread to which I was responding here. MorphOS isn't a taboo here at AW, but I hope you don't take the oppertunity to pull this into yet another repetitive and redundant 'MOS vs OS4' flamewar.

@all

This thread has gone AWOL. I see STB's and AHT's but it sure ain't scrabble. To get back on topic (I suggest everyone else does the same): I have an AmigaOne SE 600 Mhz. Anyone else who has an AmigaOne and not mentioned it here?

@MikeB

So, directly related to the topic of this thread, what is the rock bottom minimum? We know the absolute rock bottom minimum is 1000 XE's plus some decent number of SE's plus at least 137 uA1's but some people my have upgraded from one to the other and hence own 2.

How many A1 owners are registered in the owner's forum? :)

Not like it matters a lot, but I hope to add 1 more to your numbers soon as well!
