Typical, always coming in half ####ed.

Right, just for your special benefit, we took the 20 questions, I sat on them for a while, cause my outside Amiga life got in the way. (Apologies, unemployment, etc) then Alan went away to the far east this May, is back later on towards the end of May, he will look at the questions on his return and reply back here as soon as he is able to.

So, I would expect sometime middle of June.

Okay?

The answers had better be worth the wait.

You are not the one to guarantee that Mikey - Alan has to. Marketing fluff will not help him reestablish the reputation he has lost so far.

To be fair, it's not just Alan is it?
Aside from Eyetech there are others who have lost our trust.

@Trixie

To be honest, the only thing I am annoyed at Eyetech about, and I shouldn't since I didn't pay for the board, is, why with the cost of the MicroAmigaOne Board, they couldn't have done a back plate??? how much more expensive would that have been?

If only!
if only!
I had added that one to the 20 questions I sent to Alan

@Mikey_C

I agree.. but maybe, if you want it bad enough, there is a way.

I can provide a (U.S.) mail order source for a plate that has
almost everything just right, but blank metal where the two
video connectors go.. It's about $10 US, plus shipping. Mark it
for the two remaining holes and take it to a machine shop to have
those last two holes punched.

That's what I did. It came out pretty good, too. My machinist tried
to drill it, and there were some troubles there. A punch would
have been much better.

If you want the source of the plate just ask, I can reply with it
from work tomorrow.

Didn't the documentation read that you should keep it in dark and dry place?

No, standards are fine in all other sectors of the computer biz. Just not in the Amiga biz.

@JoeG

I've opened a new thread, trying to prevent getting too off-topic.

See "Micro Backplate Workaround"

Yes, but he probably needs to consult his partners too. At least he had to when I conducted AW's previous Eyetech/Alan interview/Q&A.

Hi JoeG,

Looks like people are trying to figure out if there are riser cards that can be used too. So, nicholas -- "No, standards are fine in all other sectors of the computer biz. Just not in the Amiga biz.", you just mai be right!

Hi Framiga,

Naaah, Antarctica (Waterworld).

Hi ikir,

Yes, yes, yes, YES!!!

Tell us about the "Amiga Fantasy" case!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Mr. Alan Redhouse,

We are all your fans here. Most of us understand that you are under tremendous pressures, but the secrets will eventually be known, hopefully in less than 5 years, too.

There must be SOMETHING you can tell us, even if the dates are left vague, but approximate.

(micro)AmigaOne! PreR2-AOS4.0! (Dave) Alan (Redhouse) at Large!!!!
