@afxgroup

Are the files on your site, which are mentioned in your news item the most recent ones?

If they are, then I don't need to redownload. And I don't need to adjust my monitor settings!

@Mopemen & @thread

The latest version on the website has a different byte count than the one released last night.
6147196 new vs. 6149780 last night.
Be aware that version# is identical in both files: 1.0_pre7.005

@Mopemen

If you downloaded after afxgroup's announcement you -should- have the new version.

Best Wishes,

Hey tahat was fast

I was just about to mail to you about the audio problem.

Btw is everything alright if I still can't play a DVD without frame skipping
on a 750GX 800MHz 512MB? I mean should it be able to play a DVD okey?

@Samwel

now it is impossible to play a dvd without -framedrop.
However for all. Download the version present on my site not that present os4depot that is not yet updated.

@afxgroup

The audio on my micro seems to be cleaner then the previous version with the
-ao sdl option. I now have audio with my mov videos & wmv videos, nice.

Will we be getting a new GUI frontend that works with a G3?

@Haymigga

the new version has no more CGX_WPA. So a tip. Use SDL for audio and CGX_VMEM for video. For the rest it should work..

@thread

Also, as long as you use CGX_VMEM for video, -both- window and fullscreen
should work on G3.

@Stephen_Robinson

Which model A1?

Reminder: Micro A1-C Use -framedrop in the "Extras" Menu for DVD if
you are using the GUI.

Well, I get "speeded up" sound on a few mpeg and wmv files. Some movies also crash MPlayer. To be safe, I reverted to the previous version.
I also get corruption on a few files, but that also happened with the other versions. If needed, I can send a test (bad) file, see if the problem is reproduceable.

Note:I have a G4, Radeon 7000 and I use MPlayer through the latest GUI.

@afxgroup

what GUI problems have you on G3?
-------------------------------------------------------

MPlayer-GUI v1.31. Option -ao ahi & ahidev produce no audio, but sdl works fine. I was getting a system crash hitting the f key for a window, but I can't reproduce it now. I run mplayer from DOpus 4.17 as a filetype, just double click on a video & it plays.

[mplayer -vo cgx_vmem -ao ahi -fs video.avi] in a shell & the GUI gives me no sound.

[mplayer -vo cgx_vmem -ao sdl -fs video.avi] in a shell & the GUI gives me sound. This setting is what I have setup in DOpus & it works fine.

I don't want to get you sidetracked on the GUI right now. Whatever you did to mplayer itself, my G3 likes.

I just realized that I had your new version & an older version installed at the same time when I did the first tests. That would explain the crashes I was having with the GUI. I now have only your updated version installed & the GUI is stable now.

I ran mplayer by simply double-clicking it's icon and selecting the file from the requestor that pops up. I am using an A1 with a G4 and a Radeon 7000. If you like I can send you the file that created this GR.

@afxgroup

I tried this new version of yours.
It sure is better than the first. But I still get the audio lock up
playing the same last second if I don't use -framedrop. Just takes
longer in this version of MPlayer. Is it because the audio plays
full speed and gfx falls back (playing like slow motion)?
The sound is ok all the way with -framedrop but the gfx sure sucks!

I used the Swedish Region2 version of Kingpin for testing.

Also why doesn't MPlayer choose widescreen aspect for DVD?
Kingpin is a widescreen 16:9 anamorphic movie.
