@FuZion

Why does your review on Cybernoid have a larg JPG as background and not a nice tiled pattern?

@Toaks

As AliveMediaSoft does/would to me (for paying for Putty Squad)

And speaking of cupon-actions... Still don't have my Amiga T-Shirt for my 50 bugs...

CU,
Mario

Hehe, it's because of the look I wanted to give it. If you look, the left hand side has a drop shadow effect that overlaps the text. Because of that, the image has to be quite wide or else you'd see the drop shadow tiled across the screen

Thanks for having a look.

@FuZion

Well, maybe you could use table cells for that... But that's not, what I mean.
I am talking about http://www.deceptiveaudio.co.uk/images/bgs/Bump.jpg that's a heavy background. :)

CU,
Mario

PS: Never head a spectrum but loved cybernoid on the c64 anyway.

*edit*
PPS: Have a look at http://halloweenportal.de/t/mini_bump.png It's not perfect, I know (hey, it's late and I really should go to bed )... Anyway, something like this could work...

@padrino

Getting the slanted stripes to fit was difficult & I do like my tiles to be less obvious But I'll have a look. Cheers for the feedback.

Also, did you notice that it's a diifferent background each time? I have about 8 random ones Subtle.

@All

Any one else go to CGE UK last Saturday?

I think GamesTM's retro ed was there. I could have had a word with him had I read the article before then!

With genuine respect that's a bit needlessly cynical for you, isn't it Mikey? I mean okay, it could be a long shot, but stranger things have happened for us right?

I'm still highly impressed by some extremely cool guy's contribution of a Samba guide to the Amiga community - and as soon as I get a bigger hard drive, I mean to take advantage of it. :)

If you get a chance to go next year, it's well worth it IMO.

@All

Speaking of "games that weren't": Has anyone ever chased up any of Ocean's numerous unreleased games. A playable demo of Universal Monsters is freely available, but how about their conversions of NHL and Mutant League Hockey?

Sooooo...

I see the forum hasn't been bombarded. No matter. Has anyone sent an e-mail to GamesTM?

Loooook, I know it's not like Dan will say: 'Yeah guys, here's a copy of the game. Enjoy'. Just like that, but this is as close a lead as we've had since the game should have first been released (Then second time round).

There may not be another interview or contact of this type again. Is it worth a few words in an e-mail?

Dammit yes!!!

Yeah, thanks for trying though. Any movement is movement I guess.

I've been wondering if it'd be possible to actualy buy the right for Putty Squad of would that be out of the question now since System 3 (I presume) own the rights to the SNES version. Would these rights expand to further versions, be limited to the SNES or would this kind of thing be product specific?

@FuZion

I haven't received any reply to my email.

In regards to the licensing issue, I work in intellectual property licensing and it really depends on the type of agreement.

System 3 could have bought the rights to the game on any system or only on the SNES, it would depend on whether they saw any value in buying the rights to it on a system other than the SNES.
