Well ?

I asked for a status update, and it seems they have enough orders but a PC project got in the way and we have to wait till that's finished....

Anyone have more news ?

Martin

@Metalheart

I think they also needed an AmigaOne for development, but I never heard if they got one or not. It seems the most recent lot of MicroA1 boards came after that so there was/is something available to that end.

Lack/Availabilty of hardware has nothing to do with it.

@Metalheart

Hi, I was in Leipzig/Germany at the game convention 2005.

--- A bit offtopic---
There where really cool stuff to see. I found Runesoft aka Epic Interactive.
The company behind the amiga ports of

* Simon the Sourcerer 2,
* Earth 2140 + MissionPack
* Feeble Files

They shouwed there new ports for MacOSX like Robin Hood, X2, etc.

I asked the founder if new ports for OS4 will come up in futuref.
The Manager I talked to said NO. I asked him why.

He told me
First: Bbecause of broken new Amiga hardware
Second: Tthat the marked is to small. He gave me the example of Papyrus Office.
He said that the OS4 plattform really needs a new Package and after phoneing
with Michael Garlich from Titan Computer he was told that not even for Papyrus Office there where enough order (60) placed because of many credit cards not valid etc.
Third: Lack of Hardware
Fourth: A bad relationship with Hyperion Entertainment.

Is the hardware too broken to run a software? This is BS.

Third: Lack of Hardware

This is not true anymore.

They probably wanted hardware for free. They can't buy an A1 themselves or they just want to take benefit from the situation?

@zErec

Just before the male-cow-leftbehind is turned into urban-legend and
then "well known fact" like it happened so many times before:

Runesoft was e.p.i.c.

Papyrus-ports are done by Titan.

Seems that some of you mixed them up.

Maybe this is over the game Gorky17? e.p.i.c published the mac version but Hyperion got the rights for the Linux and Amiga versions...
