Well that's weird. Who is in charge now then?

And what are the strategies of that person.

Bill McEwen?

@Rogue

I'm sure you (the collective you) are very busy and I do remember some passionate
comments about the silliness that can go in these forums, but I'm delighted to see you
posting again. Those post have been my life line to "Amiga sanity" when all others have
remained silent.

I'm a happy camper now, thanks.

@ thread

I remember when Bill McEwen et all saved Amiga from death by “Gateway obscurity”
(and more) by taking up the huge challenge to get funding and start the Amiga Ball
rolling again. I can’t even begin to imagine what that team went through, not to mention
the big DOT COM bubble bursting which was an unanticipated disaster that many companies
did not survive. One can only imagine the hell Bill McKwen has been through including
him talk about death threats to him AND his family.

Anyway the Amiga Ball seems to be rolling along nicely now and I’m excited about OS4
and the potential of this Troika board.

There's also 'Amiga Developments LLC' which still owns Amiga IP.

So?

The Amiga IP that I'm most interested in belongs to Amiga Developments LLC, not Amiga Inc. Other parties interested in licensing the same IP would be interested in this as well.

If Amiga Developments LLC sold/licensed certain parts of Amiga IP to AmigaInc, then they also might be interested in licensing certain Amiga IP to other 'amiga' companies as well.

Sorry, but *for me* he did *not* what he promised - I still haven`t got my T-shirt or my coupon!

*By me* he will be remembered as a scammer - like his predecessor!

@All

I don't know? You go offline for a few hours and bang!! The rumour machine get up and running at full speed.

Gary Hare and Amiga Inc., apart from IP and licensing, have had very little to do with the current Amiga computer scene. (i.e. Amiga One's and OS4).

I wish all those who secretly know what is going on whould enlighten a simple Amiga enthusiast like me!

Everyone was told to update the address details of their Club Amiga account, and I wonder if you were one of the people who didn't hear about that, and thus missed their T-Shirt?

I was very surprised (but quite please) to get mine, and many others did too, so I think it's unfair to call him a scammer!

But anyway, let's try not to get distracted from the main thread

Hi David -

I don't know that there is any interest in the following. If you'd like (after removing my e-mail address) please feel free to post the following:

Several months ago I terminated my association with Amiga, Inc. I am no longer affiliated with Amiga in any capacity.

Best Regards, Garry Hare

Hi DaveyD,

But what everyone really wants to know is: HAS THEIR ADDRESS CHANGED????

@JurassicC

That website is so unprofessional it's almost sad. The guy might have some good points against Merlancia, but the message just doesn't get through the cheesy conspiracy theories on the website.

Which rumor? Ryan Czerwinski incorporating "Amiga" is legally documented fact. The only rumors are why this is so, but the fact is it's so.

As to why this is so, what's your take on it?

Hi T_Bone,

So the guy spent his last $200 incorporating as "Amiga Inc.". Big deal!

What's he gonna do, print a bunch of "I'm the CEO of..." cards?

Think Gateway is going to take him seriously?

Think he can go to Hitachi or LG Electronics and strike up some fake deal?

No, it's $200 bucks he can kiss bye-bye to.

T_Bone, there's very little of an issue here.

If Amiga Inc. couldn't make any real deals, why do you think some faker COULD???

He'll just land in jail sooner rather than later. I can just see him on "60 Minutes " now...

Of course, now we all have our T-Shirts, don't we? I'm sure you'll find another reason to presume the sky is falling, though ...
There are still a few people who didn't recieve T's. We'll be sending out the final batch to those who didn't, very shortly. We are just waiting for the last few "I didn't get mine" emails (with proper shipping address) to trickle in and then we can hand those over to the shipper.

Good to hear!
Although I saw my my pesonal data here has been ok when I checked it, I sent you an E-Mail to make sure you have my data.
[EDIT: Which has not been answered up to today (October 20th, 2005), BTW]
Now I'm looking forward to my shirt (once more)!
Up to today I have neither received the shirt nor the coupon - so sorry - *for me* he *IS* a scammer - like the rest of this AInc-gang...

Bill, Fleecy: Come out, come out, wherever you are!!

Seriously, Bill McEwen gets a bad wrap, but he was great at PR ... I remember a big New York Times piece about his early plans for the AmigaOne. We need someone trumpeting the Amiga again - and yes, also better plans and follow-through than they had back then.

I never got mine, but I never ordered my A1 from Amiga Inc, but from KDH Germany.

I think these T-shirts make a fortune at ebay
